Interns will gain practical exposure to accounts receivable activities while working with team members who value curiosity, accuracy, initiative, and a positive work environment.\nAccruent is looking for an Accounts Receivable Intern to join our Finance team. This internship provides hands-on experience with invoice processing, customer account research, order review, record maintenance, and other core accounts receivable activities. Working with guidance from experienced team members, the intern will build practical finance and business skills while contributing to day-to-day operations and process improvement efforts. If you are eager to learn, detail-oriented, collaborative, and interested in developing a foundation in finance operations, Accruent may be a fit for you.\nThis internship reports directly to the Accounts Receivable Manager and will be fully remote.\nHow you'll make a difference:\nSupport timely and accurate invoice processing under the guidance of Accounts Receivable team members.\nAssist with collection-related research and follow-up activities.\nEnter and validate invoice information in the ERP system.\nResearch customer account questions and help document findings for dispute resolution.\nReview incoming orders for completeness and escalate questions before invoicing.\nHelp maintain customer contact information and supporting documentation, including tax exemption forms.\nOrganize and maintain accounts receivable files and records.\nAssist with preparing documentation for credit memo requests and customer account adjustments.\nFollow established procedures and learn how accounts receivable transactions support SOX compliance.\nParticipate in team projects and identify opportunities to improve documentation or processes.\nWhat you bring to the table:\nCurrently pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or recently completed a relevant program.\nInterest in learning accounts receivable, billing, and finance operations.\nAbility to organize and prioritize assignments with guidance.\nAttention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.\nClear verbal and written communication skills.\nComfort working collaboratively with team members and communicating professionally with internal partners and customers.\nWillingness to ask questions, receive feedback, and learn new systems and processes.\nAbility to handle confidential information responsibly.\nBasic problem-solving skills and the ability to meet agreed-upon deadlines.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.\nPreferred Skills/Experience:Coursework or project experience related to accounting, finance, or business operations.\nExposure to Salesforce, NetSuite, or another business system.\nPrevious internship, part-time work, volunteer experience, or team-based project experience is helpful but not required.\n\nFortive Corporation Overview\nFortive's essential technology makes the world safer and more productive.
