This role is responsible for performing calibration, troubleshooting, adjustment, and minor repair of pressure measurement instruments in accordance with established procedures, quality standards, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate has developed proficiency across a range of calibration and analytical processes and can work independently while supporting team objectives and customer commitments.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform calibration, verification, adjustment, and documentation of pressure measurement instruments and related equipment.\nExecute established analytical and technical procedures to ensure accurate and compliant calibration results.\nInterpret calibration data, specifications, and quality requirements to determine equipment conformity.\nTroubleshoot instruments exhibiting measurement or performance issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.\nDocument calibration results and service activities in accordance with ISO 17025, quality system, and customer requirements.\nCollaborate with technicians, order processors, customer service, and leadership teams to meet operational and customer objectives.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, turnaround time, productivity, and customer satisfaction.\nMaintain laboratory equipment and work areas in accordance with safety and quality standards.\nQualifications\nAssociate degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Physics, Metrology, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered.\nExperience performing calibration, testing, troubleshooting, or repair of precision measurement equipment.\nAbility to follow detailed procedures and work instructions while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.\nProficiency in a variety of analytical and technical processes used to perform calibration and measurement activities.\nStrong understanding of how individual responsibilities integrate with broader laboratory, service, and customer fulfillment objectives.\nDemonstrated ability to provide solutions to atypical or infrequently occurring technical issues by applying existing procedures, historical precedent, and sound technical judgment.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and calibration management systems.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with pressure calibration standards, deadweight testers, pressure controllers, and precision measurement instrumentation.\nFamiliarity with ISO 17025 accredited laboratory environments.\nExperience working within quality management systems and technical service operations.\nSuccess Factors\nThe successful candidate will:\nDemonstrate proficiency across a range of calibration and analytical procedures.\nUnderstand how their work impacts laboratory performance, customer satisfaction, and team results.\nSolve uncommon technical problems by applying established methods, procedures, and practical experience.\nMaintain a strong commitment to quality, safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.\nWork effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced service environment.\nThis role is ideal for a technician who has progressed beyond entry-level calibration work and is capable of independently handling a broad range of pressure calibration activities while contributing to the overall success of the Phoenix Service Center.\nFortive Corporation Overview\nFortive's essential technology makes the world safer and more productive.
