This position serves as a local EHS resource that helps ensure compliance with company requirements and applicable regulatory obligations while promoting a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace.\nIn partnership with Facilities and offsite EHS professionals, the EHS Coordinator leads training administration, inspections, audits, incident investigations, corrective action tracking, risk assessments, emergency preparedness activities, and employee engagement initiatives, along with additional responsibilities as assigned. This role offers an EHS professional the opportunity to develop technical knowledge and experience in manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse, and office environments.\nEssential Responsibilities\nSafety & Health Program Support\nLead implementation of site EHS programs and procedures.\nConduct routine workplace inspections and hazard observations.\nLead Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and risk assessments.\nLead incident, injury, near miss, and property damage investigations.\nTrack corrective actions and verify completion.\nLead management of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) programs.\nLead ergonomics evaluations and address employee safety concerns.\nProvide day-to-day EHS guidance to employees, supervisors, managers, and functional teams.\nTraining & Employee Engagement\nCoordinate assignment and completion of required EHS training.\nMaintain training records and learning management system data.\nFacilitate new hire EHS orientation.\nLead development and delivery of safety awareness campaigns.\nLead safety committees and employee engagement activities.\nLead coordination of emergency drills and exercises.\nEnvironmental Compliance Support\nLead hazardous waste management activities.\nLead chemical inventory management and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) administration.\nConduct routine environmental inspections.\nLead spill prevention and response activities.\nLead collection and organization of environmental compliance records and documentation.\nCompliance & Documentation\nMaintain EHS records, logs, and required documentation.\nLead administrative support for EHS audits and assessments.\nLead regulatory reporting and data collection.\nLead corrective action management systems and EHS databases.\nLead internal and external EHS audits.\nEmergency Preparedness\nLead emergency response planning activities.\nLead maintenance of emergency equipment and supplies.\nLead drill planning and execution.\nServe as a member of site emergency response teams as assigned.\nContinuous Improvement\nLead implementation of Fortive Business System (FBS) and continuous improvement initiatives.\nLead kaizen events and problem-solving activities.\nLead development of leading and lagging EHS performance metrics.\nDrive identification of opportunities to improve risk reduction, compliance, and employee engagement.\nQualifications\nRequired\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, EHS, Engineering, Public Health, or a related field.\n1-3 years of professional EHS experience.\nKnowledge of basic occupational safety principles and regulatory requirements.\nStrong organizational and administrative skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.\nPreferred\nExperience supporting manufacturing, laboratory, healthcare technology, or warehouse operations.\nFamiliarity with OSHA, EPA, DOT, or equivalent regulations.\nExperience with EHS management systems, training systems, or incident management software.\nInternship, co-op, or previous EHS experience.\nFirst Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification.\nCertified Laser Safety Officer (CLSO).\nKey Competencies\nAttention to Detail\nCommunication Skills\nCustomer Focus\nData and Documentation Management\nContinuous Improvement Mindset\nLearning Agility\nProblem Solving\nRegulatory Awareness\nTeamwork and Collaboration\nTime Management\nWorking Conditions\nCombination of office, laboratory, warehouse, and manufacturing environments.\nAbility to walk production areas and conduct inspections routinely.\nAbility to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.\nMay require use of personal protective equipment.\nTravel between the Glenwood and Stillwater sites is required.\nFortive Corporation Overview\nFortive's essential technology makes the world safer and more productive.
