The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and maintain our competitive edge in the biologics industry.\nResponsibilities\nProcess Development:\nDevelop and optimize processes for the production of biologic products.\n\nScale-up processes from laboratory to pilot and production scales.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to process development and optimization.\n\nDesign and execute experiments to develop new biologic products and improve existing ones.\n\nAnalyze experimental data, interpret results, and make recommendations for further research or process adjustments.\n\nCollaborate with R&D teams to innovate and implement new technologies and methodologies.\n\nProcess Improvement:\nIdentify areas for process improvement and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and product quality\n\nImplement process improvements to reduce costs, increase yield, and improve overall productivity.\n\nMonitor and analyze process performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.\n\nEngineering:\nApply engineering principles to design and optimize equipment and processes for biologic production.\n\nWork with engineering teams to design and implement process control systems.\n\nEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.\n\nBiologics Expertise:\nMaintain a deep understanding of biologics, including cell culture, fermentation, purification, and formulation processes.\n\nStay current with industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes in biologics.\n\nProvide technical expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams.\n\nQualifications\nRequired:\nMaster's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.\n\n4+ years of experience in biologics R&D, process development, and process improvement.\n\nStrong background in biologic production processes, including cell culture, fermentation, purification, and formulation.\n\nProven experience in conducting experiments, analyzing data, and making data-driven decisions.\n\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex process issues.\n\nStrong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\n\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.\n\nKnowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for biologics production.\n\nMay require occasional travel to attend conferences, training, or meetings with external partners.\n\nPreferred:\nKnowledge of process control systems and automation.\n\nExperience with statistical analysis\n\nFortive Corporation Overview\nFortive's essential technology makes the world safer and more productive.
