This role will provide you the opportunity to work with a global supply chain to develop quality manufacturing processes for sustaining engineering and new product introductions.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nConduct Fortive Part Qualification Process (FPQP) activities within commodity to ensure all product quality requirements for purchased materials are understood, communicated, and met in an effective and economical manner.\nConduct ongoing process and part qualification audits of existing suppliers\nDevelop suppliers to attain the competencies required by Industrial Scientific\nAnalyze supplier quality trends and participate in improvement activities, using statistical analysis and problem-solving tools\nAssist with measure, audit, and improvement of supplier-quality processes that satisfy customer expectations. \nWork with engineering on technical data package accuracy to ensure requirements are defined\nSet up incoming inspections on engineering samples/prototypes/non-conformances \nAssist Sourcing Specialists/Engineers in obtaining RoHS/REACH documentation\nExecute the warranty / factory returns program (RMA process) to suppliers\nAssist in training of company and supplier personnel in supplier quality process\nQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:\nMinimum BSEE from an accredited engineering college or university\nMinimum of 3 years experience in a Supplier Quality role in a manufacturing environment\nKnowledge of industry quality system standards\nAbility to analyze problems, determine the root cause, and assist in documenting corrective actions and solutions that prevent recurrence\nExperience using tools such as Control Plans, FMEA’s, PPAP.\nAbility to communicate advanced quality concepts both internally and externally\nKnowledge of statistical analysis tools\nGood communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills\nProficiency with basic computer software, especially Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint\nWillingness to travel as required to solve supplier quality issues (domestic & internationally)\nQUALIFICATIONS STRONGLY PREFERRED:\nASQ Certified Quality Engineer\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing and related tools\nFamiliarity with intrinsically safe products governed by UL, MSHA, ATEX, and ISO regulations \nFamiliarity with Windchill PLM and Oracle ERP systems \nExperience and working knowledge of printed circuit board fabrication and assembly processes\nExperience and knowledge of IPC standards\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nNote: The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
