Our Team. Our Passion. Our Approach.\nJob Summary:\nAs a Mod Center Machine Operator, you will be an essential part of the electrical panel operations team! You will operate and maintain a state-of-the-art Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) Machining Center specifically designed for electrical panel enclosures and subpanels. You will use drawings/CAD models to machine parts made of metal, plastic and/or other materials to meet safety, quality and production requirements as well as other assigned duties. You will strive to meet assembly business performance expectations related to safety, quality, delivery, cost and promote a continuous improvement team environment.\nEssential Functions:\nUnderstand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, wiring schematics, electrical drawings, etc.\nWire enclosures according to blueprints, electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, wiring schematics, etc.\nTranslate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function utilizing CAD software.\nOperate machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions.\nMake adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed and path of the cut, as well as make sure the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product.\nConfirm ModCenter is running efficiently by verifying that work area is stocked with machining tools (end mills, drills, etc.), well-maintained and perform periodic checks on output.\nInspect the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production.\nPrepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.\nPrepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.\nMaintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements (TPM).\nDocuments actions by completing production and quality logs.\nCommunicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part to Supervisor.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma, GED, military equivalent and or 1-2 years-experience in CNC Machining preferred.\nIntermediate math skills and good spatial reasoning.\nWorking knowledge of standard and metric measuring systems.\nGood written and verbal communication skills.\nSome experience with: Hand tools \nPower tools - including but not limited to: drills, jig saws, wireway/din rail cutters, grinders, knockout punches, band saws, deburring tool, and more \nComputer skills to include but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite, CAD Software, and more \n\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:\nLift 30lbs. frequently, and 70lbs. occasionally\nManeuver varying size enclosures, with the assistance of an overhead hoist, in excess of 100 lbs\nStand for long periods of time, bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing ladders\nPerform all required tasks in a safe manner\nEffective problem identification and solution skills.\nThis job description describes the general nature and level of work expected of a person assigned to this position.
