The ideal candidate has a strong desire for excellence, with confidence in their expertise, and is a creative problem solver.\n\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nDesign, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use.\nWork with the Product Managers to outline features for the product roadmaps.\nWork with different teams and products to understand requirements and design solutions.\nIdentify and evaluate new technologies for implementation.\nConsult with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.\nCreate or align best practices\nEnforcement of standards\nInnovate process solutions\nServe as technical expert on development projects.\nParticipate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design.\nWrite technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.\nWork without supervision on the most complex projects.\nComplete latitude for independent judgment.\nAssist and mentor less experienced peers.\nActively participate or take the lead in all Agile ceremonies.\nStrong C/C++ programming experience in the Windows OS environment\nStrong design experience building Windows applications especially network related Windows applications.\nExperience working with Windows kernel and Windows services in user mode • Prior experience working with WFP, NDIS drivers on Windows\nVery good hands-on understanding of networking concepts - TCP/IP, UDP, IPSec, VPN, SSL/TLS, Routing, tunnelling etc\nHands on experience debugging BSOD’s and network related issues on Windows\nStrong expertise with data structures and algorithms\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTypically requires 15 or more years of experience.\nProven previous experience at the Senior Software Engineer role.\nSuperior working knowledge of Agile Project development methodology and the ability to implement those methodologies in active projects.\nProven experience and knowledge of the relevant programming language requirements for this role and the ability to share that knowledge with team members.\nProven leadership as a project leader or as a subject matter expert.\nCoordinate project activities of co-located and remote team members.\nClear and concise communication skills (verbal and written)\nPresentation and mentoring skills\nNice to haves:\nGood understanding of C# programming.\nWorking with Windows installer technologies like Wix\nUnderstanding of Jenkins jobs/pipelines \nThis position requires proficiency in English to interact, support and/or provide services to non-French speaking customers, employees and/or partners inside and/or outside the province of Quebec.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds.
