You will work with other Product Designers and Product Management to understand customer needs and translate them into intuitive, high-quality customer experiences. You will then collaborate with Engineering to bring those designs to life.This is a senior individual-contributor role with meaningful ownership of assigned product areas and initiatives. You will contribute strong design craft, customer insight, and cross-functional collaboration while helping create a consistent user experience across the MFT portfolio.\n\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nProduct Design\nLead end-to-end design for assigned MFT product areas and strategic initiatives, collaborating with other Product Designers and Product Management throughout discovery and experience design.\nShape product direction for complex workflows by framing ambiguous problems, evaluating tradeoffs, and influencing decisions with Product Management and Engineering.\nCreate user flows, information architecture, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes.\nDesign intuitive experiences for MFT product administration, workflow and project design, dashboards, analytics, and AI Assistant features.\nProvide implementation-ready designs, interaction details, and acceptance criteria.\nReview implemented UI and work with Engineering to resolve usability, visual, and interaction issues.\nCustomer Validation and Product Insight\nPlan and conduct customer interviews, usability testing, and other validation activities.\nUse analytics, telemetry, customer feedback, and research findings to identify usability issues and guide decisions.\nShare clear findings and recommendations with Product, Engineering, and stakeholders.\nDesign Systems and Consistency\nApply and contribute to standard Fortra UI patterns and MFT-specific reusable components.\nImprove consistency across GoAnywhere, Globalscape, and future MFT product experiences.\nPartner with Engineering to align designs with design-system and front-end standards.\nIdentify opportunities to simplify workflows and reduce UI inconsistency.\nCollaboration and Influence\nFacilitate design reviews and working sessions.\nManage design priorities and communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs.\nContribute feedback in team critiques and cross-product design discussions.\nQUALIFICATIONS\n8+ years of product design, UX design, or related experience, including substantial enterprise software experience.\nExperience owning complex product features from discovery through implementation.\nStrong portfolio demonstrating strategic product thinking, interaction and visual design, prototypes, and shipped enterprise products.\nExperience partnering with Product Management and Engineering in an Agile environment.\nStrong knowledge of usability, responsive design, and modern UI patterns.\nProficiency with Figma and familiarity with usability testing and product analytics tools.\nStrong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nNice to Have\nExperience with managed file transfer, cybersecurity, administration tools, workflow automation tools or other complex enterprise platforms.\nExperience using product telemetry or analytics to inform UX improvements.\nExperience with MUI, Material Design, React and design systems implemented in code.\nExperience using AI tools to improve design operations, prototype quickly, and validate UI efficiently.\n\nThis position requires proficiency in English to interact, support and/or provide services to non-French speaking customers, employees and/or partners inside and/or outside the province of Quebec.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds.\nWe do not require Canadian work experience; all relevant experience will be considered.
