From designing, deploying and managing infrastructure stacks within low-latency financial trading environments, to relocating the headquarters of a global fintech firm, our operations span multiple markets, industries and geographies.\nFortray have helped customers scale their operations globally, gain an advantage in financial markets, enabled mission-critical projects and, most importantly, implemented technology that delivers alpha-accelerating business transformation.\nFortray redefines the way customers procure, implement, and support their organisations' technology.\nThe Role\n We are looking for a talented 2nd Line Network Engineer to join our support team, working\nin a vibrant shared environment, helping their customers with their day-to-day issues providing a range of support functions that in turn help deliver their highly reputable standard of customer service.\nDuties & Responsibilities\n\nLogging and managing network related tickets for all customers taking a network support service. \nEnsuring all tickets via portal, email and phone are updated, picked up and resolved in a timely manner. \nProvide technical support for all types of network related incidents and requests. \nTroubleshooting and resolving complex networking issues. \nTesting, configuration and implementation of network devices and approved change requests. \nManage and maintain server OS patching and network device firmware upgrades. \nProvide feedback and recommendations to management on re-occurring issues. \nAssist with technical projects where required. \nContinuously improve knowledge and understanding across the various technologies. \nProvide excellent customer service to all end customers. \nEnsuring documentation is created, kept up to date and accurate.\nSkills and Experience:\n\nMinimum 2 years’ experience with Networking, Firewalls and Switches in an equivalent role. \nPrevious experience working within a network support role/team. \nNetwork Configuration and Troubleshooting. \nAdvanced knowledge of network architecture and configuration of routers, firewalls and switches, ideally to CCNA level (or equivalent level of experience). \nProven network infrastructure experience within a live environment. \nKnowledge and experience of VMWare / Hyper V, Cisco, Next Generation firewalls (Fortinet or Palo Alto), Aruba, Juniper, STP, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, IPsec, SSLVPN, QoS, DNS, IPv4 and iPv6.\nBenefits\n\nBirthday as a free day holiday \nPension scheme \nSocial events run throughout the year \nLearning & Development courses paid \nOpportunity to work throughout the UK and internationally \nGym membership or private healthcare \nLunch provided Friday\nEqual Opportunities & Diversity Policy\nFortray is committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all staff and job applicants.
