The employee will act as key point of contact with the customer, and in so doing will provide the highest levels of customer service. The incumbent will ensure that high safety standards are always maintained while operating Fortune Fish and Gourmet’s vehicle. Moreover, the utmost care will be applied in handling the company’s perishable products in accordance with HACCP.\nSchedule: Enjoy full-time hours while working just 4 shifts per week! Start time 10:00pm!\nResponsibilities\nPerform all pre-trip responsibilities to include checking route numbers and account numbers for assigned deliveries.\nPerform necessary vehicle safety inspections for vehicle.\nDrive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route. Ensure vehicle is properly secured during drop-offs. \nLoad and unload products from vehicle using dolly or other appropriate devices safely.\nVerify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures confirming receipt of product.\nContact management to discuss issues or concerns as they arise throughout the workday.\nPerform all post-delivery actions, including unloading damaged product, customer returns, and complete any necessary documents.\nFollow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulations during the operation of the truck and handling of product.\nMonitor and ensure that temperature-controlled vehicles maintain required temperature limits to ensure product quality.\nDevelop and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and goodwill by providing professional assistance and by demonstrating an interest in the customer’s needs. Report any complaints to Supervisor.\nCollect money from customers and properly record transactions on company documentation, including invoices. Ensure that payment (cash, checks, etc.) are properly secured.\nEnsure that safety training is current as per company policy.\nSupports the Transportation Manager by ensuring that vehicles are maintained according to schedule and records are current and correct.\nOther duties as assigned by supervisor.\nMinimum Requirements:\nEducation - High School Diploma or equivalent.\nExperience - 2- 3 years of commercial driving experience. Transportation of temperature-controlled product experience preferred.\nCustomer Service - Friendly, outgoing, and courteous customer service demeanor. \nWork ethic - A sense of urgency in meeting critical and time-sensitive deadlines with the ability to work with limited supervision.\nLicensing - Must have a valid Class A License.\nEnvironmental - Available to work long shifts and Saturdays.\nLanguage - Basic English-speaking proficiency.\nA combination of the above will also be considered.\nPhysical Requirements:\nProlonged standing, sitting, walking, and driving\nRegularly be able to lift up to 80 pounds; may occasionally need to lift over 80 pounds\nRequires constant mental and visual attention, as well as the ability to see well in limited light scenarios\nRepetitive reaching, bending, and twisting \nRepetitive pushing and pulling\nMust be able to successfully pass a Medical Examiner’s Certification\nLocal Linehaul driver, primarily Indy to Dayton & Columbus routes.
