The Machine Operators report to the Director of Operations, however for day-to-day guidance relative to plant operations, Machine Operators report to their Team Leader.\nJob Duties/Responsibilities\nEffectively and efficiently operate wireline cable manufacturing equipment\nExecute quality inspection, and set-up checklists\nComplete documentation thoroughly and accurately\nReport and document product quality non-conformances immediately.\nComplete assigned preventive maintenance tasks (lubricating, cleaning, etc.)\nCross-train in all areas of operation\nIdentify and report equipment issues (look, listen, feel) to prevent equipment breakdown or failure\nParticipate in improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and efficiency in area of responsibility\nDiligent reporting of safety, quality, maintenance, or other issues to ensure important improvement ideas are communicated\nDevelop a Lean Manufacturing mindset, focused on removing waste in operations to deliver quality products at lower cost\nMaintain high standards of housekeeping are sustained\nEnsure all tools, materials & equipment are stored in designated area\nOther duties as assigned.\nSkills/Knowledge\nPrior experience in a manufacturing or similar environment\nUnderstand the principles of 5S and Lean Manufacturing preferred\nAble to change task or direction while maintaining organization\nGood organizational skills\nForklift/Reach Truck Certification\nAbility and willingness to lift 45 lbs unassisted\nHigh attention to detail\nAnalytical thinker and problem-solving capabilities\nAbility to work in a team environment\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nExperience\n1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred.\nAbout FET\nFET (Forum Energy Technologies, Inc.) is a global company, serving the crude oil, natural gas, and renewable energy industries.
