It involves standing for extended periods and lifting up to 45 lbs. Housekeeping and material handling are also components of this position. The position schedule will be a dayshift; however, it may involve various shifts and overtime hours depending on the scope of work.\nJob Duties/Responsibilities\nPerform general tasks as assigned by Supervisor\nAccurately sorting and labeling housings, components, and carbide inserts using alphanumeric codes and product identifiers.\nPrepare, organize, and stage housings for machining and assembly processes.\nPerform engraving on housings using designated tools and templates.\nHandle materials - within the shop and outdoors as required\nAssisting various machine operators in setup; moving materials in and out of the shop using overhead hoist and forklift\nOperate basic hand tools and powered hand tools.\nOperate various equipment as described in company procedures\nStacking/unstacking pipe adhering to strict procedures\nPerform work safely and follow established work procedures\nGeneral shop cleaning\nAdhere to health, safety and quality policies, as well as all company policies and procedures\nEnsure work areas and clean and organized\nParticipate in training and safety meetings\nOther duties as required\nSkills/Knowledge\nAble to meet deadlines while working in a safe manner.\nMechanically inclined, ability to use small hand tools and/or power tools.\nAttention to detail.\nAbility to work in a team as well as independently, to complete tasks.\nStrong aptitude to understand drawings.\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\nAble to follow and understand both oral and written instructions in English.\nGrade 12 basic math skills.\nEducation\nGrade 12 or GED preferred.
