We take chances on people and invest in helping them grow.\nAbout the role\nWe’re looking for a talented Junior Database Administrator to join our team and work alongside our senior DBA. You’ll help write and optimize SQL queries, monitor database performance, and support the day-to-day work that keeps our databases secure and reliable, including backups, restores, and access management. This role is perfect for someone with strong SQL fundamentals who wants to deepen their database expertise in a hands-on environment. You’ll receive mentorship from an experienced DBA, work closely with our engineering team, and have opportunities to take on more ownership as you grow.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nDatabase Administration & Performance\nWrite, review, and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for performance and scalability\n\nMonitor database performance and troubleshoot slow queries and other issues\n\nDesign and maintain database schemas and indexes\n\nSupport backups, restores, security, and access management\n\nImplement best practices for data integrity and reliability\n\nProvide day-to-day database coverage when our senior DBA is away\n\nCollaboration & Development\nWork closely with developers on how our applications use the database\n\nContribute to technical discussions and decisions with the team\n\nDocument database structures, processes, and changes clearly\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nIdeally 2 - 5 yrs of hands-on database experience.
