Together, we grow, belong and impact.\nAbout the team\nAs part of Audit Transformation, data analytics services allow the development of bespoke analytics solutions tailored to our clients and standardised solutions / end-user tools to allow delivery at scale across the audit portfolio. These solutions enable and empower our auditors to leverage data and technology in order to enhance the quality and efficiency of audit engagements. We utilise an agile delivery model, enabling our teams to be involved in different and varied projects and audit analytics delivery including bespoke and standardised data analytics, governance, advanced (AI-ML) analytics, end-user tools development and support, as well as robotic process automation (RPA) services.\nAbout the role\nThe role of an auditor is to ensure financial statements produced by audited entities are ‘true and fair' and an accurate representation of the transactions and balances they claim to represent. As a Data Analytics Assistant Manager, you will be supporting in developing audit analytics tools and re-performable audit analytics across Forvis Mazars UK to support the audit team to provide a high quality, robust and efficient audit. The purpose of the position is to fundamentally unlock insights contained in data and create solutions to challenges related to the delivery of external audit.\nWe are now operating a hybrid working model, so you will split your time working at your base office, client sites when required, or working from home.\nWe are looking for candidates with a strong interest in technology and desire to learn and progress.\nRole & Responsibilities\nAs an Assistant Manager, lead on multiple audit engagements from planning through to finalisation of deliverables in line with agreed timescales;\n\nManage, train and coach more junior team members;\n\nProvide quality assurance (first-level review);\n\nWork closely with key stakeholders in audit and the centre of excellence team to design and develop tools / bespoke solutions, and be responsible for the day-to-day management of stakeholder relationships;\n\nEnsuring all stakeholders are kept fully informed of any issues arising and the progress of the work;\n\nWork independently and follow best practices for application development;\n\nDelivering work to the highest technical standards including ensuring work is conducted in line with Forvis Mazars quality standards;\n\nEnsuring all work is undertaken to budget and meets the KPIs;\n\nBuilding and developing long term relationships with senior stakeholders across the firm;\n\nMaintaining control and stability under pressure whilst recognising the deadline or urgency to be dealt with;\n\nWork within a team to innovate and develop new data driven solutions to solve critical challenges and data puzzles;\n\nSupporting with audit proposals and pitches;\n\nWork with various audited entities, building a strong understanding of their business or organisation, and providing exceptional service;\n\nPrepare professional audit documents in line with our audit methodology using audit software and systems; and\n\nDevelop a thorough understanding of financial statements.\n\nWhat we are looking for\nHave obtained a Master's degree in business analytics, data-science, statistics or equivalent programme focused on data and analytics.\n\nStrong work ethic; the desire to get things done and to learn and progress.\n\nAbility to express ideas with conviction throughout verbal and written communication.\n\nAbility to lead engagements.\n\nAbility to write professional audit documents to the highest standards of quality.\n\nAbility to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, challenge the status quo and deliver work effectively.\n\nAttention to detail, ability to multitask and strong time-management skills.\n\nInnovator; the first person to try new solutions, are excited by the possibilities of new ideas and new ways of doing things and have a keen interest in technology.\n\nInterpersonal skills; the ability to build client relationships with a foundation of trust and responsibility.\n\nAnalytical skills; the ability to think critically, research and solve problems.\n\nCommitment to self-development & learning.\n\nAffinity with our values; in particular, respect for individuals, diversity and integrity.\n\nExperience with R and / or Python, data visualisation tools such as Power Bi.\n\nExperience of managing, training, and coaching team members.\n\nDesirable but not essential: knowledge or experience in audit and / or accounting.\n\nDesirable but not essential: knowledge or experience of main accounting systems / ERPs (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).\n\nDesirable but not essential: experience in Alteryx, Microsoft Azure, databases and querying using SQL, AI, tool development and the Microsoft Power Platform.\n\nDiversity, Equity & Inclusion\nAt Forvis Mazars diversity, equity and inclusion are central to our values.
