Together, we grow, belong and impact.\nAbout the team\nOur Tax Dispute Resolution team supports clients in managing and resolving complex tax disputes and enquiries. Working with individuals, businesses and other stakeholders, the team helps clients navigate interactions with HMRC, combining strong technical tax knowledge with commercial judgement and a practical approach to resolving disputes.\n\nAbout the role\nAs an Assistant Manager within Tax Dispute Resolution, you’ll work as part of a collaborative team advising clients across a varied portfolio of tax disputes and HMRC enquiries\nDuties will include:-\nWorking on a portfolio of tax dispute and enquiry matters, supporting cases from initial review through to resolution.\nReviewing client information, identifying key technical issues and carrying out detailed tax research.\nPreparing correspondence, reports and other documentation to communicate complex tax matters clearly and effectively.\nLiaising with clients, HMRC and colleagues, building trusted relationships and providing practical, commercially focused advice.\nSupporting senior colleagues on complex or higher-risk disputes, including developing case strategies and gathering supporting evidence.\nMonitoring relevant changes in tax legislation and HMRC practice and considering their implications for clients.\nManaging deadlines, budgets and competing priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and client service.\nSupporting and coaching junior colleagues and contributing to their development.\nWorking collaboratively with specialists across the wider Tax practice to provide clients with joined-up advice.\nWhat we are looking for\nRelevant experience in tax, tax investigations or dispute resolution, gained within professional services, HMRC or a similar environment.\nA relevant professional qualification, or progress towards one, such as CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent.\nStrong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex tax issues and reach well-reasoned conclusions.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical matters clearly.\nStrong organisation and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.\nA collaborative approach and confidence building relationships with clients and colleagues.\nCommercial awareness, curiosity and sound professional judgement.\nA commitment to quality and to delivering an excellent client experience.\nDiversity, Equity & Inclusion\nAt Forvis Mazars diversity, equity and inclusion are central to our values.
