Forvis Mazars Trainee Financial Planners provide support to financial planners in managing a portfolio of existing clients and help identify and develop new prospect opportunities with existing and new clients, supporting planners in the preparation of proposal and engagement documents.\nAbout the role\nSupport Financial Planners in managing a portfolio of existing clients.\nAssist with the delivery of ongoing financial planning services.\nProvide support on ad hoc advice requests and planning issues arising from client relationships.\nHelp prepare client meeting documentation and follow-up actions.\nAssist with annual review processes and client servicing activities.\nMaintain accurate client records and ensure documentation is up to date. \nTechnical & Advisory Support\nGather and analyse client information.\nAssist in preparing suitability reports, recommendations and planning documentation.\nSupport research activities, including investment, pension, protection and estate planning solutions.\nLiaise with paraplanners, client support teams and compliance functions to progress client work efficiently. \nBusiness Development\nHelp identify and develop opportunities with existing and prospective clients.\nSupport planners in the preparation of proposals, engagement documents and presentations.\nParticipate in networking and internal referral activities where appropriate.\nBuild and maintain relationships with colleagues across the wider business to generate opportunities. \nRisk & Compliance\nEnsure all activities are carried out in accordance with FCA requirements, internal policies and compliance procedures.\nSupport anti-money laundering, client onboarding and due diligence processes.\nMaintain appropriate records and documentation standards.\nDemonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development and maintaining technical knowledge. \nWhat we are looking for\nWorking towards, or holding, relevant financial planning qualifications.\nGood understanding of financial planning concepts and client service standards.\nStrong organisational and time-management skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAttention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.\nAbility to work collaboratively with planners, paraplanners and support teams.\nKey Behaviours\nClient focused.\nProfessional and ethical.\nCommercially aware.\nProactive and solutions-oriented.\nCollaborative team player.\nCommitted to continuous learning and development.\nCareer Path\nThe Trainee Financial Planner role is typically a developmental position that provides experience across client servicing, financial planning, technical analysis and business development, supporting progression towards a Financial Planner role.\n Diversity, Equity & Inclusion\nAt Forvis Mazars diversity, equity and inclusion are central to our values.
