About the team

The RiskConsulting teamprimarilydelivers outsourced and co-sourced internalauditand internalcontrolsservices, while also supportinga broad range of riskand governance advisoryengagements. These include internalcontrolsreviews, SOX and UK Corporate Governance Code (Provision 29) readiness, enterprise riskmanagementframeworks, combined assurance and external quality assessments.

Primarily, the teamprovide outsourced and co-sourced internalauditservicesto banking / financial service clients, however, we also provide (or supportother teams withthe deliveryof) a range of risk-based engagementsincluding corporate governance reviews and external quality assessments.

About the role

As an InternalAuditorwithin the Banking RiskConsulting Team, you will be responsiblefor planning, fieldwork, deliveryand finalisationof internalauditengagements, leadinga teamof Assistant Manager and Senior Consultants and presenting at AuditCommittees, to a range of banking and building society clients.

• Managementof a portfolioof clients, including overseeingthe preparationand deliveryof InternalAuditplan, RiskAssessments, clientengagement, committee presentationand reporting.
• Performance and managementof internalauditfieldwork along withsupportinga teamof internalauditors including assistant manager and senior consultants,
• Preparationand review of draft internalauditreports and other deliverables.
• Leadingopening and closing meetings withkey clientcontacts (Exco).
• Developingand maintaining good relationshipswithclients.
• Providing on-the-job training and supervisionof junior teammembers.
• Identify opportunitiesand prospects for new work
• Leadthe preparationof clientproposals / pitches.
• Ensure Quality and Riskstandards and procedures are maintained across the team.

What we are looking for

• Holds either ACA, CA, ACCA, IIA or CII (or equivalent)qualification.
• Experienceof planning, delivering and managing internalauditfieldwork.
• Experienceof managing a portfolioof Banking and Financial ServicesInternalAuditclients.
• Experienceof delivering and leadingreviews such as -
  • Underwriting and Credit RiskManagement
  • Enterprise RiskManagement
  • Deposit and Card operations
  • Compliance Framework reviews
  • Third party RiskManagement
  • Payment operations
• Good understandingof the UK regulationsapplicableto Financial Services(specificallyBanks, Building Societies and non-bank lenders).
• Good understandingof requirementsunder MCOBs for Regulatedloans
• Strong communicationand report writing skills; the candidate will also be a confidentspeaker to deliver effective training sessions and webinars both to client/colleagues.
• Should have experienceof presenting at AuditCommittees
• Good interpersonal, clienthandling and project managementskills.
