We are looking for a Construction Representative who will play a key part in delivering critical infrastructure improvements at Frederick W. Smith International Airport (MEM), home to the FedEx World Hub and one of the world's largest air cargo operations. This is a unique opportunity to be directly involved in complex aviation construction projects within a dynamic 24/7 operating environment where safety, coordination, and execution are essential to maintaining airport operations.\nFoth partners with commercial and general aviation clients throughout the Southeast and Midwest to deliver innovative engineering and construction solutions. As a member of our team, you will provide construction phase services for a diverse portfolio of airside and landside infrastructure projects, including runway, taxiway, apron, utility, roadway, and stormwater improvements. Working alongside airport stakeholders, contractors, and design professionals, you will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements while contributing to the continued growth and modernization of one of Tennessee's largest airports.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nProvide construction observation and field support for civil infrastructure projects during the construction season, ensuring work is installed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and contract requirements\nReview and interpret construction plans, design documents, and specification manuals to verify contractor compliance and resolve field issues\nConduct site visits and document construction activities, progress, and compliance through detailed daily reports\nAdminister construction documentation, including Requests for Information (RFIs), change orders, construction modifications, and project records\nUtilize construction management software, such as Procore, to track project activities, manage documentation, and support project delivery\nParticipate in and contribute to weekly progress meetings, construction meetings, and project coordination meetings with contractors, clients, and project stakeholders\nCoordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to address field challenges and support successful project execution\nSupport office-based design, construction administration, and reporting activities during periods of inclement weather and off-season construction work\nMaintain accurate records and documentation to support project quality, compliance, and closeout requirements\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's or associate's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field/ equivalent work experience\n3+ years of experience with transportation, aviation, or other civil infrastructure construction projects\nDemonstrated experience reading, interpreting, and applying engineering plans, construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents\nExperience with construction administration activities, including RFIs, project documentation, reporting, and construction modifications\nExperience documenting construction activities and verifying contractor adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality requirements\nDemonstrated experience coordinating construction activities with contractors, clients, engineers, or project managers\nExperience leading or facilitating project progress meetings, construction meetings, and contractor coordination efforts\nWillingness and ability to work both in an office environment and at active construction sites\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license\n5+ years of experience with transportation, aviation, or civil infrastructure construction projects\nFamiliarity with Procore or similar construction management software\nWorking knowledge of Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) standards and specifications\nFamiliarity with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, standards, and specifications\nExperience balancing field-based construction oversight with office-based design and construction administration
