A hands-on permanent position responsible for sourcing, ordering, and tracking raw materials and consumables to ensure production lines remain fully supplied on time. \n\nKey responsibilities\nRaise purchase orders for raw materials and consumables based on production plans, bills of materials, and stock levels.\nFollow up with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and track open purchase orders.\nInform the production team immediately of any potential material shortages or delivery delays.\nCheck physical deliveries against purchase orders and invoices alongside the stores team, resolving short, damaged, or incorrect deliveries.\nMonitor stock levels and reorder points for all required materials.\nCapture and maintain accurate purchasing records on the ERP/stock system and in Excel.\nProcess supplier invoices for approval and assist with month-end stock counts and reconciliations.\nRequirements\nMatric (Grade 12) essential.\n2+ years of experience in a buying, procurement, or stores clerk role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.\nIntermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency and hands-on experience using an ERP or stock control system.\nOwn reliable transport.\nAttributes\nStrong attention to detail and high accuracy with numbers and paperwork.\nWell-organised with the ability to juggle multiple orders and strict deadlines.\nConfident communicator capable of following up with suppliers firmly and professionally.\nCollaborative team player who interacts effectively with production, stores, and finance departments.\nHonest, reliable,
