Are you ready to change the world with us?\nABOUT THE ROLE\nThe internship program at Clēnera is designed to give current undergraduates an opportunity to immerse themselves into the complex world of renewable energy. We have created thoughtful experiences across the company to provide meaningful experiences for the interns and value for the organization. Students who will be successful in this program will bring a passion for the renewable energy industry, a strong work ethic centered around self-motivation, and a desire to learn and grow by working alongside some of the best and brightest in the industry. \nThe Data Engineering & Reporting Intern supports the development of data pipelines, reports, dashboards, and visualizations used to support business decision-making processes. You will assist with collecting, cleaning, transforming, and analyzing data to provide insights into business performance and trends. \n*Paid 12-week internship opportunity starting in January 2027. \nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nAssist with gathering, cleaning, transforming, and analyzing data from various sources.\nAssist with creating and maintaining data pipelines that collect, process, and organize information from business applications and other data sources.\nWrite and modify SQL queries used for data extraction, validation, analysis, and reporting.\nCreate reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools such as Power BI.\nDesign and develop visualizations to effectively communicate data findings to stakeholders.\nAssist with monitoring key performance indicators and providing updates on business performance.\nWork closely with other departments to understand their data and reporting needs.\nPerform data quality checks and validation to help ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data.\nTest reports, dashboards, calculations, and data transformations for accuracy and functionality.\nAssist with identifying and resolving data quality, integration, and reporting issues.\nHelp automate manual data preparation and reporting processes.\nCreate and maintain documentation for data sources, pipelines, transformations, data models, reports, and related processes.\nResearch emerging technologies and practices related to data engineering, analytics, reporting, automation, and artificial intelligence.\nCollaborate with individual department, as well as cross-functionally with other departments within the organization.\nMaintain organizational excellence in terms of project timelines and deliverables.\nDemonstrates the Clēnera Core Values of Caring, Committed, and Courageous.\nOther duties as assigned. \nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nEducation: Undergraduate or graduate student, preferably entering their final year, pursuing a degree in computer science, data science, data analytics, information technology, or related field. \nTechnology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to learn company-specific software programs, tools, processes, and machines.\nSkills/Attributes:Foundational knowledge of SQL and relational databases.\nFamiliarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.\nFamiliarity with Python or another programming language used for data processing and analysis.\nUnderstanding of data extraction, transformation, and loading concepts.\nAbility to analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, inconsistencies, and insights.\nAbility to assist with designing reports and visualizations that clearly communicate data findings.\nFamiliarity with cleaning and preparing data to support accuracy and integrity.\nProficiency with Excel for data analysis and reporting.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.\nAbility to learn new technologies and business processes.\nAbility to manage assignments, competing priorities, and established deadlines.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.\nSelf-motivated to work through complex problems and competing priorities, including a high level of detail and organization.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills. \n\n*Recruiting agencies, we are not currently accepting unsolicited referrals for this or any open role.
