Duties will include, but are not limited to:\nPreparation & review of corporate 1120 tax returns\nPreparation & review of partnership 1065 tax returns\nPreparation & review of s-corporation 1120S tax returns\nPreparation & review of individual 1040 tax returns & Schedule C\nCalculating gains & losses for cryptocurrency mining, staking, trading, and DeFi transactions for both individuals and companies\nR&D tax credit studies & calculations\nTax research and planning projects (i.e. state tax nexus studies, notice resolution)\nWho You Are\nThe ideal candidate exhibits the following skills and/or characteristics:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar field\n2+ years in a client service tax role\nKeen attention to detail and organizational skills\nStrong communication skills\nNatural curiosity and a strong desire to learn new skills\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently\nGathers and analyzes information skillfully\nProfessionalism and commitment to exceptional communication and client service\nTech-savvy and able to quickly learn new systems\nExperience with Quickbooks Online, ProConnect, CCH Axcess strongly preferred\nExperience with cryptocurrency tax topics is a plus\nCPA is preferred but not required\nExperience in tax research using Bloomberg research tools is a plus\nPerks\nA perk we like to highlight is work life balance. While we may request in office meetings from time to time, we encourage our team to control where and how they work. Additionally, we strive to provide each team member with a reasonable workload. Based on internal surveys, during the off-season, employees typically work an average 40 hours per week. We recognize that balance shifts during busy seasons, and while dedication is crucial, we strive to maintain a healthy equilibrium. Even during peak periods, employees typically average 50-55 hours per week.
