Four Hands is where passion meets purpose and where your next chapter begins.\nThe Staff Accountant supports the financial close and helps ensure financial information is complete, accurate, and aligned with US GAAP. This broad-based role contributes to general ledger and operational accounting, reporting, controls, systems, and special projects. Working with Accounting, Finance, and cross-functional partners, you’ll help resolve accounting issues, improve recurring processes, support Microsoft D365 enhancements, and build experience across a growing organization.\nIn This Role\nSupport the monthly, quarterly, and annual close by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for assigned areas\nReview assigned balance sheet accounts for accuracy, investigate reconciling items, and maintain appropriate documentation in BlackLine\nPrepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports, compare results to supporting detail, and assist with investigating unusual activity, trends, or follow-up items\nWork with Accounting, Finance, and operational teams to understand transactions, research discrepancies, and provide accounting support for new business activities\nAssist with Microsoft D365 and related system enhancements through testing, data validation, issue resolution, and process documentation\nHelp maintain accounting procedures and internal controls and recommend practical improvements to recurring workflows\nSupport internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.\nAssist with accounting research and supporting analyses for assigned or non-routine transactions under the guidance of senior team members.\nOther duties as assigned, in accordance with training and qualifications\nUphold the Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands TeamBe open and honest\nReach for excellence\nAct with responsibility\nValue the whole person\nEnjoy the journey\n\nThe Ideal Person\n2+ years of general ledger, corporate accounting, or public accounting experience; experience in a multi-entity or high-growth environment is a plus\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA license or path to CPA preferred\nWorking knowledge of US GAAP and foundational experience with financial reporting, account reconciliations, and internal controls\nExperience working with ERP and financial systems; experience supporting system enhancements or implementations is preferred\nProficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data reconciliation techniques\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with competing priorities\nCollaborative team player with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset\nDemonstrates integrity, accountability, and commitment to continuous improvement\nAbout Four Hands\nHeadquartered in Austin, Texas, since 1996, Four Hands crafts furniture, art and décor - pieces that are all about creating space.
