You’ll work closely with developers, product teams, and clients. \n\nThis is an architecture-focused role rather than a regular development position. You won't own routine feature development, but you'll work hands-on to validate technical approaches and provide clear implementation guidance to delivery teams. \n\nKey responsibilities: \n\nArchitecture and design \n\nDefine and evolve end-to-end architecture of our software systems, balancing scalability, security, reliability, maintainability, performance, observability, and cost. \n\nTranslate product requirements into implementation-ready technical designs and specifications. \n\nDefine architectural principles and lightweight review practices that ensure consistency while preserving team autonomy. \n\nIdentify architectural risks, technical debt, and opportunities to improve system performance, security, and reliability. \n\nCloud and new technologies \n\nDesign and review cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, selecting appropriate infrastructure and containerization technologies based on technical requirements, cost, and maintainability. \n\nBuild focused proofs of concept to validate architectural assumptions, assess technical feasibility, and identify implementation risks before development begins. \n\nEvaluate AI-assisted engineering tools and identify opportunities to integrate AI capabilities into products where they bring measurable value. \n\nEvaluate emerging technologies and architectural approaches, recommending their adoption when they provide clear technical or business value. \n\nDocumentation and communication \n\nMaintain architecture documentation, including diagrams, decision records, and technical specifications. \n\nCommunicate architectural direction, risks, and recommendations to leadership and development teams. \n\nMentor developers and help teams strengthen their software architecture and system design skills. \n\nReview architectural designs across teams and systems, facilitating technical discussions, and helping teams make informed decisions. \n\nClient collaboration \n\nParticipate in client-facing technical discussions, including discovery, solution design, integrations, and architectural decisions. \n\nTranslate client requirements into solutions that fit our platform and explain options and trade-offs clearly. \n\nRequired skills and knowledge: \n\n5+ years of software engineering experience, including experience in a senior, lead, or architecture-focused role. \n\nExperience designing end-to-end software systems, including frontend, backend, APIs, integrations, and data. \n\nPractical experience with Microsoft Azure and a strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes. \n\nStrong understanding of software architecture principles, security, scalability, reliability, and performance. \n\nAbility to evaluate architectural alternatives, build technical proofs of concept, and translate designs into implementable specifications. \n\nA technology-agnostic mindset and the ability to quickly learn and evaluate unfamiliar technologies. \n\nPractical experience with AI-assisted development tools. \n\nStrong communication skills in English and Croatian. \n\nNice to have: \n\nExperience with AKS, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and observability. \n\nExperience with event-driven architecture, microservices, or modular monoliths. \n\nExperience integrating large language models or other AI services into production applications. \n\nWe offer: \n\nA secure and
