We are on a mission to accelerate the transition to a sustainable, emission-free energy future.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking a highly hands-on Senior Electronics & Electrical Lab Technician / Lead to join our lean R&D and manufacturing team.\nThis is a technical leadership role for someone who enjoys being close to the hardware and can own the build, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of complex electrical and electronic systems. You will work closely with electrical, power electronics, mechanical, controls, and manufacturing engineers to bring prototypes and one-of-a-kind assemblies from concept through testing and deployment, including development of internal test systems for Fourier's electrolyzer stacks.\nYou will also mentor junior technicians, establish best practices, and help ensure work is performed safely, accurately, and efficiently. The ideal candidate is comfortable with both low- and high-voltage systems, has hands-on experience with electrical safety and Hi-Pot testing, and can independently troubleshoot hardware from component to system level.\nResponsibilities\nTechnical Leadership & Lab Operations\nOwn electrical and electronics lab activities, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient execution.\n\nLead and mentor junior Electronics and Electrical Technicians.\n\nEstablish best practices for electrical assembly, testing, instrumentation, documentation, and lab safety.\n\nSupport prioritization and coordination of hands-on activities across multiple projects.\n\nMaintain lab equipment, tools, instrumentation, calibration, and consumables.\n\nElectrical & Electronics Build, Test & Troubleshooting\nBuild, wire, instrument, test, and troubleshoot prototype and production electrical/electronic assemblies.\n\nWork with low- and high-voltage AC/DC systems and high-energy equipment.\n\nPerform electrical safety testing, including Hi-Pot/dielectric withstand, insulation resistance, continuity, and grounding tests.\n\nUse oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, data acquisition systems, and other laboratory equipment.\n\nTroubleshoot electrical and electronic issues at the component, PCB, subsystem, and system level.\n\nRead and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.\n\nSupport harness development and production.\n\nTest Development & Prototype Manufacturing\nPartner with engineers to develop electrical/electronic test methods, fixtures, test stands, and procedures.\n\nTranslate engineering requirements into practical and repeatable test setups.\n\nDesign, fabricate, wire, instrument, and commission experimental and production test equipment.\n\nOwn hands-on assembly and testing of one-of-a-kind and low-volume manufacturing hardware.\n\nBuild custom electrical panels, wiring harnesses, control systems, instrumentation, and prototype assemblies.\n\nSupport first builds and transition successful prototypes into repeatable manufacturing processes.\n\nDevelop SOPs, work instructions, inspection criteria, and test documentation.\n\nIdentify design, assembly, and test issues and drive corrective actions with engineering.\n\nSafety, Documentation & Collaboration\nMaintain a safe, clean, organized, and highly functional laboratory.\n\nDevelop and maintain SOPs, test procedures, checklists, and technical documentation.\n\nEnsure accurate test data, hardware configuration, and traceability.\n\nFollow and help establish electrical safety and lockout/tagout practices.\n\nCollaborate closely with R&D, electrical, power electronics, mechanical, controls, and manufacturing teams.\n\nClearly communicate test results, failures, observations, and recommendations.\n\nProvide practical hands-on input during design reviews and help drive continuous improvement.\n\nQualifications\nRequired\n5+ years of hands-on experience in electronics, electrical systems, laboratory testing, manufacturing, or a related field.\n\nDemonstrated ability to independently own hardware or technical projects from build through testing and troubleshooting.\n\nStrong experience building, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting electrical/electronic assemblies.\n\nAbility to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.\n\nExperience with common laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, and data acquisition systems.\n\nHands-on experience with Hi-Pot/dielectric withstand and electrical safety testing.\n\nStrong hardware troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.\n\nAbility to work safely around high-voltage and high-energy systems.\n\nStrong organization, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.\n\nAbility to work independently while providing technical guidance to others.\n\nPreferred\nExperience with both low- and high-voltage AC/DC systems.\n\nExperience with high-power electrical systems or power electronics.\n\nExperience developing test fixtures, test stands, or automated testing systems.\n\nExperience with prototype, R&D, first-of-a-kind, or low-volume manufacturing.\n\nExperience with electrical panels, cabinets, harnesses, instrumentation, or industrial equipment.\n\nComponent-level PCB troubleshooting experience.\n\nExperience with data acquisition or test scripting.\n\nExperience in a startup or fast-paced
