This is why we have increased our workforce by 20% on a yearly basis in the past few years and are investing in hiring new people.\nWe are currently looking to expand our accounting team with an eager, cooperative, goal-focused\nSenior Accounting Manager\nIn this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and integrity across all accounting functions, including those related to group companies in Greece and abroad. You will collaborate closely with the accounting team and senior management to establish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and controls.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupervise, organize, and monitor daily activities of the accounting department, including processes tailored to group companies both domestically and internationally\nEnsure accuracy and timely completion of accounting entries, complying with Greek Accounting Standards as well as international accounting standards where applicable\nMonitor and manage tax compliance, including VAT-INTRASTAT-VIES, ΦΜΥ, and withheld taxes, for both domestic and international transactions\nOversee proper documentation and registration of transaction documents and invoices, adhering to local and international requirements\nVerify monthly balances and supervise commercial-accounting and warehouse agreements processes across group entities\nManage month-end and year-end closing processes for both domestic and international operations\nParticipate in and oversee the preparation of annual financial statements, including consolidated statements for group entities, ensuring compliance with local and international reporting standards\nCollaborate with auditors and other external stakeholders on tax and accounting matters, assisting in the preparation of audit schedules and financial statements for both domestic and international entities\nAssist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, taking into account the diverse operational landscape of group companies\nPossess knowledge of corporate legal matters relevant to group structures, including establishment processes and amendments for statutory entities both domestically and internationally\nProvide training and guidance to accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team\nStay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring compliance across all group entities\nProcess Reporting packages under various GAAPs (Greek, European, IFRS)\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field\nMaster's degree or ACCA/CIMA certifications are desirable\nA’ class accountant license and excellent knowledge of legal entities taxation (income tax, benefits in kind, withholding taxes, VAT, stamp duties, real estate) and accounting standards is mandatory\nProven experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar role, with at least 5 years' experience in a large company (100+ employees) with multinational operations\nStrong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, tax laws, and fiscal practices in both Greece and internationally\nExperience with accounting software and ERP systems, preferably including experience with international accounting standards and consolidation\nExcellent proficiency in MS Office tools\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy\nAdvanced proficiency in both Greek and English, both written and verbal\nDemonstrated leadership and communication skills\nAbility to thrive in a team environment, with a positive attitude, results
