This role works across ambiguous technical challenges, defines engineering approaches that others follow, and helps improve reliability, scalability, quality, and delivery performance across teams or program areas.\nThe ideal candidate brings deep software engineering expertise, strong architectural judgment, and the ability to guide complex work in secure, high-performance environments while mentoring other engineers and influencing technical direction.\nWhat you'll do\nLead complex software workstreams spanning multiple components, services, or engineering teams.\nDefine and drive technical approaches related to architecture, performance, reliability, maintainability, and testability.\nDevelop, enhance, and sustain complex software solutions in support of mission-critical systems.\nTroubleshoot and resolve high-complexity software issues, integration challenges, and cross-team dependencies.\nEstablish or improve software patterns, standards, and engineering practices that strengthen execution quality.\nParticipate in technical planning, estimation, roadmap development, and continuous improvement efforts.\nCollaborate with systems engineers, test teams, integration teams, and program stakeholders to support successful execution.\nIdentify technical risks, communicate tradeoffs, and recommend practical mitigation strategies.\nProvide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers and technical leads across the team.\nMaintain awareness of customer priorities, program evolution, and technical opportunity areas to support future program needs and organizational growth.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\n10+ years of software engineering experience.\nExperience leading complex technical efforts across multiple components, systems, teams, or program areas.\nStrong software design and architecture experience in complex, high-performance, embedded, real-time, or mission-critical environments.\nProficiency in C++ and/or Python; experience with Java or other relevant languages is a plus.\nExperience developing in Linux environments.\nExperience with Git or comparable distributed version control systems.\nExperience with software debugging, root cause analysis, automated testing, and technical tradeoff analysis.\nExperience with service integration, APIs, or distributed application behavior where relevant to the environment.\nExperience working in Agile or iterative development environments.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nActive TS/SCI clearance\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with radar-related processing, signal processing, tracking, sensor fusion, or high-throughput data pipelines.\nExperience collaborating closely with hardware design teams on software/hardware integration, interface behavior, device-level interaction, or system performance tuning.\nExperience supporting or presenting at Critical Design Reviews (CDR), design maturity reviews, or technical baseline reviews.\nExperience with multithreaded development, low-latency systems, or high-performance compute environments.\nExperience with containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, or DevSecOps tooling such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab, or similar platforms.\nExperience with secure software development in defense, aerospace, ISR, sensor, radar, or other mission-critical environments.\nSalary: The salary range for this role is $160,200.00- $213,600.00 per year. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
