Invest in us and we’ll invest in you!\nWhat will you do \nAs an AWS Cloud Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role within our team, specialising in designing, building and implementing cloud solutions, creating and optimising cloud infrastructure, developing software applications, integrating systems, and defining architecture best practices. In collaboration with both our team at fourTheorem and our clients, you'll contribute to crafting solutions that tackle complex business challenges. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping and empowering our clients' teams by providing valuable guidance and knowledge. Tasks include:\nArchitect and design scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on AWS, using best practices in DevOps and cloud-native design.\nImplement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform to enable efficient and consistent deployments.\nWork collaboratively with fourTheorem colleagues and our customers to understand business goals, incrementally deliver new technology to meet those goals, reduce complexity and demonstrate the impact of our approach.\nAutomate the deployment, configuration, and management of infrastructure and services using CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions.\nCollaborate with development and operations teams to define and implement strategies for monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Amazon CloudWatch or third-party solutions.\nOptimise applications for cost, performance, and security and work with clients on best practices for infrastructure, data, and application deployment.\nMentor and guide teams on AWS architecture patterns, DevOps methodologies, and operational best practices.\nEvaluate and integrate third-party tools and services into applications to enhance automation, performance, and security.\nWhat will you bring \n5+ years of experience building and/or architecting distributed applications on AWS.\nSoftware development skills with a focus on cloud applications.\nAn understanding of the benefits and drawbacks of any approach, with the ability to make trade-offs to ensure that a solution is right for the customer.\nStrong proficiency in AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, EC2, API Gateway, IAM, or S3.\nHands-on experience with automation and IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.\nProficiency in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools.\nFamiliarity with monitoring and logging tools such as DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or AWS CloudWatch.\nProven ability to architect solutions that meet business and technical requirements while balancing performance, scalability, and cost.\nCommunication skills, with a focus on listening and understanding first, but also presenting high-level solutions and implementation details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
