We look forward to hearing from you!\nPosition Summary:\nOperator will load, unload, and inspect parts during the CNC machining process. Operator will be responsible for the quality and quantity of the parts being produced and for achieving production standards.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nObserve all safety procedures.\n\nMaintain a clean work area / 5S standards.\n\nFollow documented operator procedures such as work instructions, inspection plans and check sheets, and posted operator notes.\n\nRuns multiple CNC jobs dealing with complex parts.\n\nLoads, unloads, and inspect parts being machined while maintaining target hourly production rates.\n\nConsistently produces parts with less than 2% scrap rate.\n\nOperates a variety of 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC mills / lathes, along with secondary operations.\n\nOperates machining automation (where used).\n\nDe-burrs, polishes, and cleans parts as required.\n\nCapable of performing cut down operations.\n\nInterpret all dimensions and GD&T on print, read and understand tolerance block, local notes, revision level, surface finish, etc.\n\nPerforms basic math calculations, including addition and subtraction of decimals.\n\nMaintains dimensional tolerances as tight as ±.0003”.\n\nUtilizes precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, etc.\n\nCan execute machine offsets and tooling changes independently.\n\nMaintains accurate part counts, fills out box tags and job/quantity tracker, and enters data into manufacturing systems / programs.\n\nHas the ability to assess job performance, determine when a job is not running efficiently, and make changes when appropriate.\n\nReport and collaborate with supervisor/lead performing advanced troubleshooting for machining problems.\n\nCollaborate with supervisor and / or technical team on possible improvements to implement.\n\nPerforms basic CNC machine set-up tasks like length changes on like part families.\n\nPerforms basic CNC machine maintenance tasks.\n\nTrain less experienced CNC operators.\n\nOther duties as needed.\n\nSpecific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:\nExcellent working knowledge of CNC functional and technical skills, controls and instrumentation on 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC mills / lathes.\n\nEffective time management and organizational skills.\n\nExcellent judgment and decision-making capabilities.\n\nTrains CNC operators.\n\nPosition Qualifications:\nEducation:\nHS graduate or equivalent.\n\nExperience:\n7+ years of prior experience operating CNC machinery required.\n\nExperienced operating 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC mills / lathes.\n\nExperienced with basic machine setups like length changes on like part families required.\n\nExperienced in training CNC operators.\n\nHighly experienced in manufacturing environment required.\n\nWork Environment and Physical Requirements:\nManufacturing Environment\n\nLift up to 50 lbs. regularly\n\nRequires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time\n\nVision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer\n\nDisclaimer: This list does not represent all physical demands.
