The Dock Forklift Driver is responsible for moving, staging, and preparing finished goods for shipment within the warehouse. This position operates a forklift to transport materials, build and secure pallets, and ensure shipments are properly banded, wrapped, and labeled.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to transport and stage materials within the warehouse and shipping dock.
- Move finished goods to designated shipping areas.
- Band, wrap, and secure pallets for shipment.
- Apply and verify shipping labels for accuracy.
- Ensure orders are organized and prepared according to shipping schedules.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with inventory movements and general warehouse duties as needed.
Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:
- Previous forklift experience preferred.
- Experience in warehouse or shipping operations preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Position Qualifications:
Education:
HS diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
1+ years of previous experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment preferred
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Production/Manufacturing environment
Lift up to 75 lbs. frequently.
Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time.
Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer.
