The mine was established in 1999 as an open cut operation producing benchmark quality, LV PCI coal for the export market.\n About the Role\nWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Leading Hand to join our Maintenance team and play a key role in leading safe, reliable and efficient maintenance activities across our mining fleet.\nReporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this hands-on leadership role is responsible for coordinating and leading maintenance activities on shift across haulage fleet and ancillary equipment. Working closely with Maintenance Supervisors, Planners, Reliability personnel and Operations teams, you will provide day-to-day leadership, technical guidance and support to maintenance personnel while ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with statutory and site requirements. You will be instrumental in supporting equipment availability and reliability through effective maintenance execution, workforce coordination and continuous improvement initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities Include:\nLeading by example and promoting a strong safety culture across maintenance crews\nCoordinating and allocating maintenance activities on shift across haulage fleet and ancillary equipment\nSupporting the safe and efficient execution of preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance activities\nProviding day-to-day leadership, coaching and technical guidance to tradespeople, apprentices and support personnel\nMonitoring work quality and ensuring maintenance tasks are completed to the required standard\nIdentifying and escalating equipment defects, failures, risks and maintenance issues\nMaintaining accurate maintenance records, work orders and shift handover documentation\nSupporting equipment availability and reliability through quality maintenance execution\nWorking collaboratively with Operations, Planning and Reliability teams to achieve production objectives\nContributing to maintenance improvement initiatives and reliability enhancement opportunities\nAbout You\nTo be successful in this role, you will bring:\nRelevant trade qualification (Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent)\nDemonstrated experience leading maintenance crews within mining, heavy industry or a similar operational environment\nStrong experience with heavy mobile equipment (HME), haulage fleets and ancillary equipment\nProven fault-finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving capability\nExperience coordinating preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance activities\nStrong leadership, communication and organisational skills\nCommitment to safety, continuous improvement and quality workmanship\nCurrent Open Driver's Licence\nStandard 11 and Health Assessment (or ability to obtain)\nS1, S2, S3 and G2 Supervisor
