The role spans the full data science lifecycle - from understanding the business problem and developing models to production deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.\nThis is a great opportunity to take meaningful ownership early and work at the intersection of data science, commercial decision-making and operational complexity.\nKey Responsibilities\nAlgorithm Development & Automation\nDesign, build, and implement machine learning and statistical models to automate pricing and business decisions for refurbished mobile devices, from prototype to production environment\n\nDevelop robust, scalable modelling solutions that address real-world pricing and business challenges, including dynamic pricing, demand forecasting, competitor analysis, and other business modelling use cases\n\nExplore and evaluate new modelling approaches and data sources to improve decision quality.\n\nBusiness Insight & Model Translation\nCollaborate closely with business, operations, and product stakeholders to distil complex requirements into actionable data science solutions\n\nTranslate operational and market insights into predictive and statistical models that drive measurable business value\n\nSupport business modelling initiatives beyond pricing, such as demand planning, inventory optimization, or customer analytics, as our data science scope expands\n\nModel Development & Continuous Improvement\nContinuously monitor model performance and business outcome, address issues such as data drift or model degradation, and retrain models as necessary to maintain optimal accuracy\n\nDevelop appropriate validation and experimentation approaches to evaluate models and decision strategies.\n\nBuild analytical and monitoring solutions that make model behaviour and business impact transparent. Stay current with the latest research and industry best practices, supporting the implementation of new approaches to improve pricing outcomes\n\nCollaboration & Communication\nWork cross-functionally with engineering, data, and business teams to ensure seamless integration of pricing models into business systems\n\nHelp ensure deployed solutions are reliable, maintainable and appropriately monitored.\n\nCommunicate analytical findings, model behaviour, uncertainty and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision making.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n2-5 years of hands-on experience in Data Science, Machine Learning or a closely related applied modelling role. Experience with designing and maintaining life cycle of machine learning models in production is required.\n\nProficiency in Python and SQL; experience with common ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, LightGBM or XGBoost).\n\nSolid understanding of statistical analysis, predictive modelling, model validation and feature engineering.\n\nExperience developing and maintaining models or analytical solutions beyond the initial prototype stage. Ability to translate ambiguous business and operational problems into quantitative solutions.\n\nStrong analytical problem-solving skills and an interest in understanding how models behave in real operational environments.
