The ideal candidate will work closely with technical services, developers, and senior management while bringing expertise in cloud-native infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).\nKey Responsibilities:\nPlatform Leadership & Architecture:\nLead and architect GCP platform setup to support enterprise-scale data migrations\n\nDesign and implement secure cloud landing zones and infrastructure blueprints\n\nEstablish and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices using Terraform\n\nDefine and implement enterprise-wide DevOps practices and frameworks\n\nSecurity & Compliance:\nDevelop and implement comprehensive security frameworks for cloud infrastructure\n\nEstablish security controls and compliance monitoring systems\n\nCreate and maintain security documentation and practices\n\nImplement and maintain identity and access management solutions\n\nInfrastructure & Operations:\nDesign and implement robust monitoring and observability frameworks\n\nLead the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines\n\nArchitect and implement disaster recovery solutions\n\nManage and optimize cloud infrastructure costs\n\nAutomate infrastructure operations using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes\n\nTeam Leadership & Collaboration:\nLead and mentor DevOps team members in best practices and new technologies\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of platform capabilities with business needs\n\nDrive technical decision-making and architecture discussions\n\nProvide technical guidance and support to development teams\n\nEstablish and maintain documentation standards for platform operations\n\nInnovation & Optimization:\nEvaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve platform capabilities\n\nOptimize existing infrastructure and processes for better performance and cost efficiency\n\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives for platform reliability and scalability\n\nResearch and propose solutions for complex technical challenges\n\nQualifications:\nMinimum 10-12+ years of overall experience with 6-8 years specifically in DevOps / Data DevOps domain.\n\nExtensive experience in designing and implementing cloud-native solutions, specifically on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\n\nStrong proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies:\nKubernetes ecosystem including Docker, Helm, and Kustomize\n\nInfrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform\n\nConfiguration management tools like Ansible\n\nCI/CD pipelines with Jenkins\n\nAdvanced programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, and Go.\n\nDemonstrated expertise in implementing and maintaining observability, monitoring, and security tools.\n\nExperience in designing and implementing enterprise-level DevOps best practices and CI/CD workflows.\n\nStrong knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies and their implementation at scale.\n\nExceptional problem-solving abilities with demonstrated experience in:\nTechnical issue resolution and troubleshooting\n\nRequirement gathering and analysis\n\nSolution architecture and implementation\n\nOutstanding communication and coordination skills.\n\nQuick learner with demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies.\n\nPay:\nThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $180,000 - $200,000. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.\nBenefits:\nAs a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time.
