Role: Technical Lead - Data Architect (GCP)

Location: Mumbai, Gurgaon, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Noida

Domain: Data Engineering, Data Platforms, Analytics, AI/ML, Cloud Architecture

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for defining enterprise-scale data architecture strategies, leading technical teams, and designing modern cloud-native data platforms. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, and technology leaders to build secure, scalable, and future-ready data ecosystems leveraging Google Cloud technologies.

• Define and drive enterprise data architecture strategy aligned with business objectives and technology roadmaps.

• Evaluate current technology landscapes and recommend short-term and long-term architecture modernization plans.

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable cloud-native data platforms on Google Cloud Platform.

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across multiple client engagements and delivery teams.

• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to design innovative data, analytics, AI, and ML solutions.

• Establish architecture standards, best practices, reusable frameworks, and reference architectures.

• Conduct architecture reviews and ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, and operational standards.

• Design modern data architectures including Data Lakes, Lakehouse Platforms, Data Warehouses, Data Mesh, and Real-Time Analytics solutions.

• Drive adoption of DataOps, DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and MLOps practices.

• Mentor and coach technical leads, architects, and engineering teams.

• Engage with client stakeholders to provide consulting, solution recommendations, and technology advisory services.

• Ensure successful delivery of scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable platforms and solutions.

Skills & Requirements:

• In depth experience as an Architect who has experience in Google Cloud Platform and is passionate about applying latest technologies to solve business problems. An ideal candidate would have:

• 14+ years of experience in Data Engineering & Cloud Native technologies (including Google Cloud Platforms) that cover the big data, analytics and AI/ML domain is essential with experience using GCP

• Experience in BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Data Flow, Cloud Storage, AI Platform/Vertex AI, Dataproc, GCP IaaS Creating, deploying, configuring, and scaling applications on GCP serverless infrastructure.

• Knowledge and working experience in - Data Engineering, Data Management and Data Governance

• Experience of working in multiple End to End Data Engineering and or Analytics projects

• Knowledge of general programming languages and frameworks, in particular python and/or Java

• General technology best practices and development lifecycles such as agile and CI/CD but also those enabling more efficient employment of data and machine learning such as DevOps and MLOps.

• Technical architecture leadership and direction on projects resulting in secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable platforms.

• Architecture skills that enable the creation of future-proof, complex global solutions using GCP services.

• Experience designing governance frameworks, data quality controls, metadata management, and lineage solutions.

• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, encryption, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

• Experience implementing enterprise-grade data security and governance controls on GCP.

• Implementation and/or creation of foundational architectures, including microservices, event-driven and event streaming, and those that enable online machine learning systems.

• Excellent communication and influencing skills, being able to adapt according to target audience.

Good to have:

• Experience in Container technology, specifically Docker and Kubernetes, DevOps on GCP

• Google Cloud - Professional Cloud Architect Certification
