Fractal has been featured as a Great Place to Work by The Economic Times in partnership with the Great Place to Work® Institute and recognized as a \"Cool Vendor\" and a \"Vendor to Watch\" by Gartner.\nPlease visit Fractal | Intelligence for Imagination for more information about Fractal\nLocation: Dallas, Texas (Client onsite) \nNote: This position is not eligible for Immigration Sponsorship currently.\nRole Overview:\nFractal is seeking an experienced Lead Azure Architect with experience in Azure core technologies - Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Lake Analytics, Azure Cosmos, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure HDInsight, Azure Databricks, SQL data warehouse (Synapse) and LLMs. \n\nKey Responsibilities:\nTranslate functional requirements into technical design \nInteract with clients and internal stakeholders to understand the data and platform requirements in detail and determine core Azure services needed to fulfil the technical design \nArchitect on Azure platform to meet client specific functional and non-functional requirements \nEvaluate the current technology landscape and recommend a forward-looking, short, and long-term technology strategic vision. \nParticipate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures.\nPreparing and answering RFPs, RFIs and RFQs \nOversee design and solution architecture to ensure standards are followed, codebase is modular and scalable \nEstimate effort using a parametric estimation model and bring all stakeholders on-board about the overall schedule, and dependencies \nDesign, Develop and Deliver data integration interfaces in ADF and Azure Databricks \nDesign, Develop and Deliver data provisioning interfaces to fulfil consumption needs \nDeliver data models on Azure platform, it could be on Azure Cosmos, SQL DW / Synapse or SQL \nAdvise clients on ML Engineering and deploying ML Ops at Scale on AKS \nAutomate core activities to minimize the delivery lead times and improve the overall quality\nOptimize platform cost by selecting right platform services and architecting the solution in a cost-effective manner \nDeploy Azure DevOps and CI CD processes \nDeploy logging and monitoring across the different integration points for critical alerts\nRequired Experience:\n10+ years of software development experience \nTranslated complex analytical requirements into technical design including data models, ETLs and Dashboards / Reports \nExperience deploying dashboards and self-service analytics solutions on both relational and non-relational databases. \nDbt core or dbt cloud experience. \nData vault 2.0 implementation experience with automate_dv package. \nExperience with different computing paradigms in databases such as In-Memory, Distributed, Massively Parallel Processing \nSuccessfully delivered large scale data management initiatives covering Plan, Design, Build and Deploy phases leveraging different delivery methodologies including Agile \nStrong knowledge of continuous integration, static code analysis and test-driven development \nExperience in delivering projects in a highly collaborative delivery model with teams at onsite and offshore \nMust have Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills \nDelivered change management initiatives focused on driving data platforms adoption across the enterprise. \nExperience working on APIs, ADFs, Python and Spark. \nStrong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations. \nPay:\nThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: Up to $150,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.\n\nBenefits:\nAs a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time.
