This role is responsible for handling complex production issues, break-fix activities, enhancements, and automation, while providing expert-level support to L1/L2 teams. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with GCP-based data platforms, distributed data processing, and workflow orchestration, along with a strong operational mindset.\nThe role requires participation in 8×5 coverage with on-call support for critical incidents.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProduction Support & Incident Management\nProvide L3 support by resolving incidents escalated from L2 teams within defined SLAs.\nHandle highly complex and specialized technical issues across data pipelines and platforms.\nPerform detailed root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring and critical issues.\nParticipate in on-call rotations to support critical production incidents.\nSupport Problem Management, Break-Fix, and Minor Enhancements activities.\nPlatform Operations & Enhancements\nPerform and support change requests and platform enhancements.\nPrioritize incidents, service requests, and enhancements based on business impact and available capacity.\nEnsure stability, performance, and scalability of data pipelines and infrastructure.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to implement minor functional and technical improvements.\nAutomation & Continuous Improvement\nProactively identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational tasks.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce incidents and improve support efficiency.\nEnhance monitoring, alerting, and self-healing mechanisms where applicable.\nKnowledge & Process Management\nContinuously update and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and Knowledge Base articles.\nMentor and guide L1/L2 support teams, improving overall support maturity.\nEnsure operational best practices and compliance are followed consistently.\nRequired Technical Skills\nCloud & Data Platforms\nGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP) with strong hands-on experience in:\nDataproc\nBigQuery\nCloud Run\nCompute Engine\nCloud Storage\nIAM\nData Engineering & Processing\nStrong experience with Apache Spark\nHands-on experience with Hive\nSolid understanding of distributed data processing concepts and performance tuning\nWorkflow Orchestration\nExperience with Apache AirflowS (DAG design, troubleshooting, monitoring)\nWorking knowledge of Scala\nProgramming & Scripting\nStrong proficiency in Python\nExperience with Shell scripting (Bash)\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting large-scale production data platforms.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines for data platforms.\nExperience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.\nKnowledge of data governance, security, and access control best practices.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nBehavioral & Soft Skills\nAbility to work in high-pressure production environments.\nStrong ownership, accountability, and customer-centric mindset.\nExcellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.\nProactive approach to problem solving and process improvement.\nCoverage & Support Model\n8×5 operational coverage\nNice-to-Have\nExperience working in ITIL-based support environments.\nExposure to cost optimization and performance tuning in GCP.\nIf you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!\nNot the right fit?
