They should partner with engineering teams, data product owners, and business stakeholders to establish architectural standards, design cloud-native data platforms, and guide technical execution across complex programs.\nRoles & Responsibilities\nStakeholder Engagement\nDrive Senior client workshops, problem framing, solution framing\n\nDriving e2e client advisory, opportunity creation, demand generation\n\nEngage with business and technical teams to align architecture with requirements\n\nSupport RFP/RFI responses and architectural evaluations\n\nAI Foundations in Pharma\nExperience with life-sciences datasets, migration and modernization\n\nUnderstanding of operational layers (L1, L2, L3) and ontology/context layers\n\nDefine and enforce data modelling, metadata, lineage, and quality standards\n\nImplement CI/CD pipelines and monitoring frameworks\n\nEnsure architectures support observability, reliability, and operational excellence\n\nExperience architecting end-to-end solutions on AWS and Databricks\n\nDefine architectural standards, patterns, and best practices\n\nReview and guide solution designs for scalability, performance, and security\n\nEvaluate technology options and recommend long-term architectural strategies\n\nAbility to translate business and analytical requirements into scalable data models\n\nExperience assessing current-state data architectures and defining future-state models\n\nExperience designing scalable data models for analytical and operational workloads\n\nStrong understanding of metadata, lineage, data quality, and governance frameworks\n\nFamiliarity with distributed compute paradigms and cloud-native modeling patterns\n\nQualifications\nCore Technical Expertise\n10+ years in AI, software development, data engineering, or data architecture\n\n5+ years in life-sciences consulting\n\nDriven Modernization initiatives for AI products with AI Foundations, governance, operational layers, context layers\n\nStrong experience with Databricks, dbt Core/Cloud, Python, Spark, SQL, distributed compute paradigms (in-memory, distributed, MPP), Data Vault 2.0 experience (including automate_dv)\n\nDeep awareness with AWS services (S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, DynamoDB, Lambda, Athena, Kinesis)\n\nLeadership & Collaboration\nExperience leading architecture across multi-team, onsite/offshore delivery models\n\nExecutive presence to drive VP, Exec Director level meetings, steer-cos independently\n\nDrive proactive thought leadership, technical visioning, workshops, in-person client success initiatives\n\nLife-sciences experience preferred\n\nAI Foundations\nAbility to translate complex analytical requirements into scalable architectures (data models, ETL pipelines, consumption layers)\n\nExperience designing and deploying dashboards and self-service analytics on relational and non-relational databases\n\nStrong grounding in CI/CD, DevOps, static code analysis, and test-driven development\n\nExperience with cloud migration patterns and modern data platform design\n\nExperience defining data standards, metadata models, lineage, quality rules, and governance patterns\n\nExperience implementing logging, monitoring, observability, and cost-optimization frameworks\n\nExperience driving adoption of enterprise data platforms and modern data practices\n\nPay\nThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range Up to $150,000. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.\nBenefits\nAs a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave.
