quickly learn unfamiliar technologies. \n\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot complex SQL Server solutions and data processing workflows.\nDevelop and support data loads and extracts from enterprise platforms, including ServiceNow.\nWork with complex SQL constructs, including: \nStored procedures\nCommon Table Expressions\nMERGE statements\nWindow functions such as ROW_NUMBER, RANK, DENSE_RANK, LEAD, and LAG\nConditional branching and complex process flows\nPerform SQL query analysis and optimization and understand database locking considerations.\nProcess structured and semi-structured data, particularly JSON and XML, including parsing within SQL Server.\nDevelop and support SSIS solutions involving loops, derived columns, and script tasks.\nWork with REST APIs and various authentication methods to support data extraction and integration.\nUse tools such as PowerShell to troubleshoot API endpoints and inspect data returned from third-party applications.\nWork with Git-based source control and Microsoft Fabric development environments.\nTroubleshoot unexpected integration or platform changes by reviewing documentation, validating endpoints, analyzing returned data, and identifying appropriate solutions. \nRequired Skills & Experience\n5–7 years of relevant experience in data engineering, database development, business intelligence data integration, or a related area.\nStrong hands-on expertise in SQL Server and advanced SQL development.\nStrong experience with: \nStored procedures\nCommon Table Expressions\nMERGE\nWindow functions\nQuery optimization\nComplex SQL processing logic\nStrong working knowledge of JSON and XML, including schemas and parsing structured data.\nExperience developing and supporting data integration and ETL solutions.\nExperience with SSIS, including: \nFor and ForEach loops\nDerived columns\nScript tasks\nFamiliarity with C#, especially for SSIS script tasks.\nExposure to REST APIs, including: \nBasic and OAuth2 authentication\nGET, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE methods\nGood understanding of troubleshooting data-processing and integration issues.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to independently investigate issues, consider alternative solutions, and learn new technologies as requirements change.\nStrong SQL capability and comfort working with JSON and XML should be treated as essential requirements, consistent with the original skill recommendation. \n\nPreferred / Good-to-Have Skills\nExperience with Microsoft Fabric, particularly: \nWarehouses\nGateways\nParameterized connections\nBasic familiarity with semantic models\nGit integration\nBuild and support current and future data-loading solutions using Microsoft Fabric.\nExperience using PowerShell for troubleshooting APIs and integration endpoints.\nFamiliarity with Git, Visual Studio Code, and Git
