Driven by creativity and inspired by the future, we set out daily to reframe the possible.\nAbout the role\nThe Animation Supervisor is responsible for the overall quality of the animation on a particular project, for delivering consistent and compelling performances in line with the Director's vision.\nYou will:\nManage, train and mentor a team of Animators\n\nProvide examples and benchmarks for the animation team to follow\n\nWork closely with the Animation Leads to ensure the team are producing high quality animation which creates compelling, story-driven and action packed moments that fit within the style and pacing of the film\n\nTake responsibility for the quality of work across the team\n\nWork with rigging and pipeline to provide suggestions and feedback in order to improve character setup, visual quality, rigs and tool functionality\n\nWork with the Animation Leads to ensure ongoing communication with Production regarding the team's progress towards the schedule\n\nOverall responsibility for meeting show milestones and deadlines\n\nAttend client reviews and lead daily reviews with the animation team\n\nContinue to become familiar with new tools, software, data and other related technologies\n\nRequirements\nWhat we’re looking for:\nA Thorough knowledge of Maya\n\nA strong grasp of physical motion, weight, balance, texture and form\n\nA demonstrable understanding of rigs and typical rigging set-ups, animation pipelines and transferring data between tools\n\nKnowledge of human and animal anatomy as well as life drawing skills\n\nA demonstrable commitment to creative collaboration within a team and with other departments\n\nPrevious experience supervising/leading a team\n\nAttention to detail and problem solving skills\n\nReliable, with good timekeeping and the ability to meet deadlines\n\nExcellent organization, communication, interpersonal, and management skills\n\nAdaptability and the willingness to learn new processes and technical skills\n\nPrevious experience working with motion capture data\n\nTo apply, please complete the linked application form or submit your resume and portfolio to  with the subject line: Animation Supervisor - Montreal.\nFramestore is an equal opportunity employer.
