You will drive the design, analysis, and validation of navigation, guidance, and control algorithms that enable precise, stable, and robust flight performance.\nAt Frankenburg, you will work alongside leading experts in technology and national defence, developing next-generation air defence missile systems for the free world. You will collaborate across disciplines, influence critical technical decisions, and mentor the next generation of engineers while helping bring advanced defence technologies from concept to flight.\nKey Responsibilities \nNavigation & Estimation Development\nLead the design of navigation algorithms, sensor fusion architectures, and state estimation solutions.\n\nGuidance & Control Design\nDevelop guidance algorithms, trajectory optimization strategies, and flight control laws that meet mission requirements.\n\nModeling & Simulation\nCreate and maintain flight dynamics models and simulation environments in MATLAB/Simulink and Python.\n\nAnalysis & Verification\nConduct robustness, sensitivity, and Monte Carlo analyses to validate system performance under realistic conditions.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with flight physics, airframe, actuation, sensor, and systems engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and optimize system performance.\n\nTechnical Leadership\nLead design reviews, technical documentation, risk assessments, and mentor junior engineers.\n\nFlight Testing\nSupport flight test planning, execution, and post-flight analysis to continuously improve models and algorithms.\n\nWe Would Love You to Have\nEducational Background\nMaster's degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline.\n\nExperience\n7+ years of experience in GNC, flight dynamics, or related aerospace engineering fields, ideally within missile, launch vehicle, aircraft, or UAV programs.\n\nTechnical Expertise\nStrong knowledge of guidance, navigation, control systems, state estimation, sensor fusion, and flight dynamics.\n\nSoftware Skills\nProficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and Python for modeling, simulation, and algorithm development.\n\nLeadership & Communication\nStrong communication skills, technical leadership capability, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.\n\nMission Alignment\nStrong alignment with our mission to build affordable and mass-manufacturable defence technologies - ensuring every euro spent moves us closer to our goal.\n\nSecurity Clearance\nWillingness to undergo a background check as a condition of employment.\n\nOpen to Relocate\nWillingness to relocate to Tallinn.\n\nOur Values\nOur mission is ambitious, and it takes a team that works with the same intensity.\nOwn the Mission: Mission first. Always.\nWe choose impact - we focus on what moves the mission forward fastest instead of “nice-to-haves\". We fix it now - when delays or problems appear, we step up, rally the right people, and solve them immediately. We keep momentum - when time matters, we stay focused and move forward without waiting for perfect conditions.\n\nStrive for More: Dare more. Do more. Achieve the impossible.\nWe challenge the status quo - we question, test, and improve instead of accepting “the usual way.” We embrace discomfort - we step outside comfort zones and turn challenges into growth. We anticipate the future - we build solutions that scale and set higher standards each time.\n\nBuild with Trust: Be open. Keep promises.\nWe walk the talk - what we say, we do. No excuses, no exceptions. We share openly - we communicate clearly and early, even when the news is hard. We own outcomes - we admit errors quickly, fix them, and prevent them from repeating.\n\nReady to Make a Real Impact?\nApply now! The deadline is September 27, 2026, but we review applications and reach out to qualified candidates continuously.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3957,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":7,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"master","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":true,"industries":["Military","Missiles","Defense Manufacturing"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-14T19:41:20Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":56,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.783,"p_room":0.72,"age_days":79,"expected_fill_days":168,"reasons":["conf:4","win:mid","crowd:"],"computed_at":"2026-10-26T05:57:25Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/frankenburg-technologies-senior-gnc-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/frankenburg-technologies-senior-gnc-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-27T04:07:19Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":3537,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-28T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":56194},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=56194"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Ffrankenburg-technologies-senior-gnc-engineer"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Ffrankenburg-technologies-senior-gnc-engineer"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Ffrankenburg-technologies-senior-gnc-engineer"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/frankenburg-technologies-senior-gnc-engineer\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Ffrankenburg-technologies-senior-gnc-engineer"}]}
