Assesses the feasibility of projects, sets goals, coordinates specifications and procedures, and provides administrative oversight. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our innovative products, industry leading quality products, exceptional customer service, employee development, and passion for social responsibility.\nJoin us to create a better future while growing professionally in a supportive environment!\nMOVE FORWARD WITH US\nCoordinates and directs projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.\nManages agency certification projects for materials-related product certifications (NSF/ANSI 61, KTW, ACS, REACH, RoHS, etc.).\nProvides materials expertise as a member of product and process development project teams.\nDirects the work and priorities of the product certification engineering group.\nImplements engineering tools and practices.\nDevelops and implements policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the company. \nDirects, reviews, and approves product design and changes. \nAnalyzes technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.\nPerforms administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditure, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.\nSets scientific and technical goals within broad outlines provided by top management.\nAs assigned, evaluates and leads new and existing projects following rigorous documentation practices and records all tests, protocols, and results in test data worksheets.\nEstablishes individual engineering priorities to support the test plan schedule.\nTracks project performance. Identifies and resolves problems.\nPerforms site investigation for cause and origin determination.\nPerforms other related duties as required or assigned.\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nKnows and understands relevant certifying agency standards, testing protocols, and certification procedures.\nAble to plan and lead certification projects involving cross-functional team members.\nKnows arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.\nKnows and predicts physical principles, laws, their interrelationships, and applications to understand fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics; understands mechanical and electrical structures and processes.\nAnalyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.\nIdentifies the underlying principles, reasons, facts, or information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.\nEffectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and other employees of the organization. \nMaintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.\nReads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\nWrites routine reports and correspondence.\nUtilizes common-sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.\nDeals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine nature.\nPlans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation.\nFrequently makes decisions of both minor and major importance, which may affect the work operations of other employees and/or clientele to a moderate degree.\nCompletes some moderately repetitive tasks.\nUses complex and noncomplex machines and equipment.\n Education and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field (required).\nSeven or more years of relevant product certification experience. \nMaster’s degree in a relevant field could substitute for years of experience. \nDesirable experience would include the following:Pump, motor, or appliance industry certifications (UL, CSA, NOM)\nHazardous Locations, ATEX and/or IECEx certifications\nNSF/ANSI 61 or other drinking water certifications\nEuropean compliance (e.g., CE, RoHS, REACH)\n\nDon’t feel like you check all the boxes in the job description?
