This is a hands-on role where you’ll provide practical ER advice and support to managers, manage a varied caseload and work closely with trade unions.\nYou’ll need to be confident managing ER matters independently, with a strong understanding of employment law, policies and procedures and how these are applied in practice.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nManaging a broad range of ER cases from start to finish, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and capability matters.\nProviding clear, practical advice to managers on complex employee relations issues.\nSupporting and leading investigations, ensuring fair, consistent and compliant outcomes.\nWorking effectively within a unionised environment, building constructive relationships with trade union representatives.\nAdvising managers on the interpretation and application of HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.\nCoaching managers to build their confidence and capability in handling ER matters.\nSupporting the review and development of policies and procedures, ensuring they remain practical, consistent and legally compliant.\nContributing to continuous improvement across ER processes and ways of working.\nWhat we’re looking for:\nStrong experience within an ER Advisor, HR Advisor or similar employee relations-focused role.\nExcellent ER knowledge with demonstrable experience managing complex casework independently.\nPrevious experience of working with trade unions and within a unionised environment.\nStrong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.\nGood experience of working with and applying HR policies and procedures.\nConfident working with managers and stakeholders at all levels.\nComfortable operating in a fast-paced, operational environment.\nCIPD Level 5 qualified, or working towards, would be advantageous.\nFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as occasional travel may be required.\n\nThis is a great opportunity for an experienced ER professional who
