This position offers the opportunity to work closely with clients in a collaborative, office-based environment, helping to strengthen relationships and expand our growing real estate niche. You will oversee full-cycle accounting operations, serve as the primary point of contact for business owners and stakeholders, and guide a team of junior accountants through training, development, and performance excellence. We’re seeking a solutions-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, excels in client service, and is passionate about optimizing processes and delivering consistent, accurate financial results.\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nOversee full-cycle accounting for real estate clients, including property-level accounting, general ledger maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting.\n\nServe as the primary point of contact for owners, investors, developers, and property management teams, delivering exceptional client service and strategic guidance.\n\nManage accounting for real estate portfolios, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, tenant activity, and capital improvement expenditures.\n\nReview bank reconciliations, escrow accounts, management fee calculations, sales tax filings, and other real estate-related accounting activities.\n\nManage and train junior accountants to foster a high-performance team environment, including provide feedback for growth and development.\n\nReview monthly financial statements for business owners and stakeholders.\n\nFormulate customized solutions for clients based on client data and goals.\n\nStay informed on accounting standards, regulatory changes, and compliance requirements to proactively advise clients.\nOptimize workflow processes by following best practices to maximize efficiency and reduce errors\n\nDeliver accurate, timely, and high-quality financial information while consistently exceeding client expectations and fostering long-term client relationships.\n\nEducation & Experience: \nBachelor's degree in Accounting\n\nCPA license preferred\n\n6+ years of experience in public accounting, consulting, or outsourced accounting environments\n\nReal Estate-industry experience required\nProficiency with Yardi required\n\nExperience with accounting software preferred (e.g. QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Foundations, Xero, Netsuite)\n\nAbility to design and implement efficient, scalable accounting processes \n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment\n\nAbility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously\n\n#LI -
