The right candidate shall provide systems engineering and development support to help design and implement a new cloud-based solution to enhance the visibility and understanding of tool usage in the Sponsors mission center. Individual(s) will need to evaluate an existing prototype design for gaps. The candidate should provide a centralized platform for managing tool usage and heritage and enable the ability to effectively track equities and processes. \nRequirements\nWork closely with the Sponsor, Product Owner, and Project Manager to ensure that the Web-based development infrastructure, builds, and database meets the Sponsor’s cybersecurity, performance, data integrity, and functional requirements.\nUse software such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, or similar to create user stories, plan sprints, or track work requirements.\nDesign a scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architecture using AWS services.\nUse Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to create and manage infrastructure.\nSet up a development, test, and production environments, including AWS accounts, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.\nDesign and develop databases, including schema design, data modeling, and data migration.\nConfigure CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing.\nDevelop the application.\nPerform unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure the application meets the required standards.\nDeploy the application to the production environment.\nSet up monitoring and logging tools to track application performance and identify issues.\nPerform ongoing maintenance, including bug fixes, security patches, and performance optimizations.\nMaintain documentation and perform knowledge transfer to ensure a smooth handover.\nExperience\nAWS Cloud Expertise and be familiar with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lamda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB as examples.\nSolution Architecture in designing scalable, secure and highly available cloud architectures.\nSolution Architecture in designing scalable, secure and highly available cloud architectures.\nJenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.\nProgramming skills in Java, Python, Node.js, C#, or Go.\nDatabase design, development of database tables, views, queries, and management, including complex relational databases, SQL databases in RDS, (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB).\nFront-end Development skills, with expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.\nExperience working in an Agile environment.\nHighly Desired Skills \nAWS Certifications: Solutions Architect, Data Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Developer.
