The program provides full life cycle support services through design, development, sustainment, and modernization of the agency's geospatial web services and tools. The program also supports commercial geospatial products including enterprise deployments, customizations and geospatial analyst support. These applications are used across the IC enterprise and are vital to its daily functions to support geospatial analysis and visualization. The program operates in Contractor facilities in the Annapolis Junction region and allows up to 16 hours per week of telework.\nMembers of the DevOps team are responsible for: \nSystem analysis of current environments and development of plans for enhancements and improvements, including commercial ArcGIS Enterprise deployments \nProduction support for mission-critical systems and applications, including ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Server, GeoEvent Server, ArcGIS Data Store, and related services \nTroubleshooting and resolving errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing issues, and assessing operational impact \nManaging, evaluating, and installing patches on Windows and Linux systems, including Esri software and dependent components \nPerforming cloud deployment and management, including hosting and scaling ArcGIS Enterprise environments \nCI/CD management and deployment, including automation of infrastructure and application updates where applicable \nPerformance assessment, monitoring, and recommendation of performance enhancements for both infrastructure and geospatial platforms \nInfrastructure management for multiple disconnected networks, including geospatial systems operating in restricted environments \nContinuous testing at various stages of the development cycle to ensure system stability and reliability \nWriting and maintaining system, deployment, and operational documentation \nSupporting the implementation and maturation of a DevOps culture, including automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement \nThe selected candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of multiple servers in both unclassified and classified environments, including ArcGIS Enterprise infrastructure. The candidate will also be responsible for implementing operating system and platform enhancements to improve reliability, security, and performance. \nThis role participates in a shared 24x7 on-call rotation to support critical systems. On-call responsibilities are distributed across the team on a rotating basis, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.\nRequired: \nA Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (computer science, computer engineering, cyber security, etc) from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional system administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.\nDoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I required; Level II desired \nExperience with AWS\nCurrent understanding of best practices and application of system security measures \nExperience with Windows and Linux servers (patching, troubleshooting, security) \nAbility to troubleshoot and resolve operational problems independently \nExperience with renewing and replacing PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) certificates \nExperience with Windows server security (Nessus, UAM, CYBORGBUNNY, LATTEART) \nDesired: \nExperience with Esri’s ArcGIS Enterprise software stack \nKnowledge of CI/CD concepts\nKnowledge of PowerShell \nThe estimated salary range for this position is between $120,000-$160,000 (annualized USD). This range reflects the typical pay for the role and is one part of the company's comprehensive compensation package.
