Specific tasks may includeadvising on engineering processes, responsibilityfor creating requirements for products that meet the customer’sneedsand thecompanyroadmapobjectives. You will be instrumental in ensuring the requirements are satisfied in the design by attending design reviews,participatingin phase gate reviews with customers and keystake holders. You willdriveverification,performanceand environmental testingefforts. You will alsoassistin developing the necessary documentation required by a robust engineering development process.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nBeing accountable and leadthe systems architectural design for new products, new product development and research activities. \nProvide technical leadership on proposals.\nDevelopengineering labor and non-recurring cost estimates for new projects and forcustomer proposals.\nCreate and manage requirements that are complete, consistent, unambiguous, feasible, modifiable, and testable.\nEnsure that requirementstraceability is achieved throughout the development lifecycle.\nProvide guidance for and validation of regression testing.\nCreate, modifyor review test documents for DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, EUROCAE and RTCA qualificationtesting and production.\nSet up equipment for qualification testing at labs.\nPerform trade studies and selection of avionics components and systems.\nDevelop avionics hardware requirements and interfacecontrol documents.\nWill work closely with project management throughout the avionics hardware and software development lifecycle.\nSupport andchairpeer reviews to ensure requirementssatisfaction and validation.\nChair and leadmilestone reviews including PDR, CDR, SDRetc.\nDevelop Systems Safety Design Materialthat complies withregulatory guidelines. (to include ARP4754A and ARP4761)\nProvide assistance/guidance to sales inquiries regardingtechnical details of products.\nProvideoccasional assistance/guidance for service and support issues.\nProvide occasional support for technical customer meetings.\nDeveloprisk assessment and risk mitigation for technical and schedule issues.\nDevelop Ground Test Plans for aircraftintegration \nTroubleshoot installation issues on aircraft\nParticipate in tests flights as requiredfor aircraftparts FAA Technical Standard Order (TSO) and STC process \nAnalyze test data, report findings \nOther tasksas necessary.\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE\nB.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent or related fieldwith a minimum of 12years of direct experience\nRead electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; must be able to identifybasic symbols.\nExperience in Systems Engineer position in electronics hardware or software development.\nExperience with analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design, analysis, test, and debug.\nCompetent in creating test procedures for avionics verification and qualification testing given requirements.\nFamiliarity with general lab equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer) will be a plus.\nHighly organized team player with excellent technical communication skills (written and verbal)\nKnowledgeable in aircraftsystems and installations.\nExperience with scripting; programming and analysis/modeling tools: Python, MATLAB / Simulink / SPICE (or similar).\nUnderstanding of RTCA DO-254 and DO-178C compliant processes for safety or mission critical aerospace flight hardware and software.\nPERFORMANCE ATTRIBUTES & COMPETENCIES:\nLeadership\nVision & Strategic Thinking: Clear visionfor the possible…thinks ahead about outcomes.\nEnergy: Exhibitsstrongdesire to achieve success.\nProblem-Solver: Objectively and logically recognizes and solves problems.\nInterpersonal & Teamwork\nTeam Player: Reaches out to overcome walls; overcomes \"we-they\" relationships; approachable and earns respect for focuson \"company\" interests.\nCommunication: Speaks confidently and effectively in one-on-one, team and public settings; writes clearly and concisely.\nPersuasive: Exhibits persuasiveness in change situations and effectively finds win-win solutions.\nPersonal & Intellectual\nIntegrity: Sets example; doesn'tethically cut corners; earns trust and respect.\nIntelligence: A \"quick study\" demonstratesabilityto absorb new informationrapidly.\nLeading-Edge: Constantly looking for best practice benchmarks.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nQualified candidates should be able to speak effectively to pilots and aircraftowners about avionics products and how they perform.
