The system must handle large amounts of data, support many different factory processes, and provide end-to-end traceability from powder-in to finished parts-out. You’ll lead architecture and implementation, make foundational technical decisions, and work closely with engineers across disciplines to solve real, complex problems with your code. \n3D printing experience is not required to be successful here - rather we look for smart, motivated, collaborative engineers who love solving hard problems and creating amazing technology! \n\nResponsibilities:\nImplement a state-of-the-art enterprise software platform to seamlessly integrate Freeform’s business processes from sales to manufacturing\nDevelop applications to track the end-to-end lifecycle of millions of parts across thousands of customers around the world\nWork cross-functionally with other engineering and operations disciplines to gather requirements and solve problems with your code\nCreate highly scalable and resilient systems to meet Freeform’s high bar for quality, reliability, and security\nMaintain accessibility and integrity of the backend data model to enable easy access for business intelligence users \nDevelop intuitive user interfaces with a focus on functionality over aesthetics to increase system usability \nBasic Qualifications: \n3+ years of professional, post graduation experience in full stack software development in Python, Go, or similar \nExperience with backend web frameworks such as Flask or Django\nExperience with frontend web frameworks such as React or Next.js\nExperience writing applications which interact with SQL databases and non-relational databases \nNice to Have: \nExperience with ERP, MRP, MES, e-commerce, supply chain, or similar enterprise software systems\nBachelor’s in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, mathematics, or similar technical discipline\nFamiliarity with coding agents (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development workflows.\nComfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and iterating quickly (comfortable \"building the plane as we fly it\") \nStrong communicator who collaborates across disciplines and proactively seeks support when needed \nWilling to take ownership of tasks big and small, with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset \nStrong work ethic with a refuse-to-fail mindset \nDemonstrated indicators of excellence and/or achieving success against adversity (i.e. top academic performance, leadership in engineering clubs, first-generation college student, or other examples of resilience and achievement) \nLocation: \nBased in Hawthorne, our vertically integrated facility brings technology development, R&D, and production together under one roof.
