In this role, you will be responsible for obtaining Employer Identification Numbers (EINs) from the IRS for newly formed companies. You will represent our clients directly in communication with the IRS via phone, ensuring accurate and timely processing of their EIN requests. You will also be responsible for helping collect information from clients for their ITIN applications and remitting it to a 3rd party vendor. You will work closely with the tax team to help with their requests as it relates to our clients and the IRS.\nKey Responsibilities:\nContact the IRS via phone daily during US business hours to obtain EINs on behalf of our clients.\nRepresent clients professionally and ensure compliance with IRS regulations.\nManage and track EIN applications, maintaining meticulous records of all interactions and documentation.\nAddress any issues or follow-ups related to EIN acquisition efficiently and effectively.\nCollaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met in a timely manner.\nOwn the internal process of submitting ITIN applications to a 3rd party vendor\nReport weekly on performance (ITINs submitted, EINs extracted, Cases In progress, AVG extraction time, etc)\nSkills and Qualifications:\nMinimum of 3+ years of experience working with the IRS on various cases, particularly involving EIN acquisition.\nActive PTIN number, SSN number, or certification as a CAA (Certified Acceptance Agent) or EA (Enrolled Agent).\nStrong understanding of IRS procedures and compliance requirements.\nExcellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to represent clients professionally.\nDetail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.\nAbility to work in the US timezone and manage daily IRS interactions effectively.\nNice to haves:\nYou know the process and have processed ITIN applications\nYou are good at reporting and have generated reports on a weekly basis previously\nYou have worked with the IRS on abatements and POAs\nPrior experience in a business formation company is a plus\nWhy Join Us:\nOpportunity to learn about tax filings, bookkeeping and working in the tax department\nOpportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative company at the forefront of the industry.\nCollaborative and supportive team environment with opportunities for growth and development.\nFlexibility to work remotely from anywhere with a stable internet connection. \nCompetitive compensation package with performance-based incentives.\nIf you are passionate about helping businesses succeed and thrive, and you possess the skills and experience outlined above, we want to hear from you!
