The integrated full-service solutions leverage a 99-year legacy in event management as well as new technologies to deliver moments that matter.\nSummary\nThe Senior Video Engineer is responsible for initial technical video design and pre-coordination of video equipment for events. During load-in and show, this person’s role also serves as the Engineer in Charge and will oversee the video team for large-scale and/or high-profile events. Additionally, this role may operate media servers and other advanced systems. When not on show site this person will assist with content creation guides and request for advanced engineering.\nThis position will support our Audio Visual Production team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week based out of Dallas, TX or Orlando, FL.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nWorks closely with clients, sales staff, operations, and project managers to develop video designs and to coordinate pre-production, onsite, and post-production activities in line with event budget. \nCreates wiring diagrams and video plots for shows based on budgeted designs; ensure on-site personnel have and understand this information.\nFunctions as onsite Client Contact and/or Crew Chief.\nSupervises load-in, load-out, install, execution of and dismantle of equipment.\nDirects and/or assist both technical and labor crews.\nResponsible for ensuring the correct specification setup and optimization of meeting room, exhibits, and general sessions video systems. \nSupervises the installation, optimization, and monitoring of the video system during the event for complex video systems.\nEvaluates the competency of Video Specialists to ensure that Freeman’s quality standards are maintained.\nPerforms show-site duties for high profile or technically complicated with significant entertainment or high-production value including: supervising show site labor, operating gear, and troubleshooting.\nOversees equipment logistics and gear use to ensure that company resources are used effectively, including minimizing cross-rentals and efficiently using interbranch gear. \nResearches and recommends Capital Expenditure Video purchases for the company to keep abreast of current with industry standards and reduce cross rentals to maximize profitability.\nDevelop video training programs to improve staff competency levels. \nStays current with new and developing industry trends.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required. \nMinimum 10 years experience working in video production with a minimum of 5 years focused on corporate events; or equivalent combination of education, certification and experience.\nAbility to engineer instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. \nAbility to communicate how to install various related equipment.\nAdvanced understanding of the fundamentals of analog/digital video, formats, aspect resolutions, and connector types. \nAbility to install and troubleshoot complex video systems within an event.\nAbility to lead video crew.\nAdvanced understanding of video systems and optimization.\nExperience with Barco and/or Analog Way switching systems. \nExperience with video system support for LED displays.\nExperience drawing system design in AutoCad or VectorWorks. \nExperience designing large-scale video systems with full-range video manufacturer equipment. \nExperience with advanced video networking and media server integration. \nExperience creating client media templates with Adobe After Effects.\nExperience with projector pixel mapping.\nExperience delivering formal training programs to diverse groups preferred.\nBarco Encore/E2 training certification strongly preferred. \nAnalog Way training certification strongly preferred.\nTravel Requirements\nTravel more than 75%\nWhat We Offer\nThe Freeman Company provides benefits that aim to empower our people and their families to thrive mentally, physically, and financially.
