Provide support, day to day guidance, and limited supervision of other team members.\nMajor Accountabilities:\nSupervise the observation and inspection of ongoing construction work including material sampling and testing as well as measuring qualities\nReview contractor’s work for compliance with contract documents, clarify contract documents for the contractor, and manage contractor requests for payment\nOversee the development and management of Change/Field orders, Updates to construction schedule, Submittals, Request for Information (RFI), Claims, Pay requests, Construction meetings, and construction closeout process\nCommunicate with contractor about non-conforming work\nPrepare for and facilitate construction meetings including minutes\nCorrespond with client, contractors, and other employees\nRead plan and specifications to be able to ensure construction is in accordance with plans and specifications\nCollaborate with design teams to facilitate responses to RFIs and submittals and/or construction issues\nCommunicate with owner to understand owner’s needs and clarify owner’s objectives and relay information to Freese and Nichols and contractor\nSupport the design phase process as assigned\nDirectly manage staff and the execution of their daily work including hiring/firing, performance reviews, and development\nConduct pre-bid and pre-construction conferences\nResponsible for tasks related to sales and marketing including leading business development efforts\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nEducation:\nBachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience\nExperience:\n10+ years relevant experience in the construction field serving as a construction manager or superintendent\nFully proficient and ability to mentor others using project management information system (Example e-Builder, Buzzsaw, FNI Manager, Site Manager, etc.)\nGood written and verbal communication skills\nUnderstanding of Alternate Project Delivery Methods\nWorking knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)\nPreferred Certification/License:\nP.E.\nCCM\nCCCA\nAbout Freese and Nichols\nAt the heart of our culture is our LEADS values (Learn continuously, Engage as family, Act with integrity, Deliver quality, and Serve always).
