As Construction Manager, you will oversee construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring quality, compliance, and alignment with client objectives while serving as a key liaison between owners, contractors, and design teams.\nWhat You'll Do\nManage the observation and inspection of ongoing construction work including material sampling and testing as well as measuring quantities.\nReview contractor’s work for compliance with contract documents and clarify contract documents for the contractor.\nLead the development and management of change/field orders, updates to construction schedule, submittals, request for Information (RFI), claims, pay requests, construction meetings and closeout processes\nCommunicate with contactor about non-conforming work\nCorrespond with client, contractors, and other employees \nCollaborate with design teams to facilitate responses to RFIs and submittals and/or construction issues\nRead plan and specifications to be able to ensure construction is in accordance with plans and specifications\nCommunicate with owner to understand owner’s needs and clarify owner’s objectives and relay information to Freese and Nichols and contractor\nSupport bid phase services\nConduct pre-bid and pre-construction conferences\nSupport the design phase process as assigned\nOversee field staff and the execution of their daily work\nSupport sales and marketing efforts\nQualifications\nBachelors or Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience\n3+ years relevant experience in the construction field serving as a construction representative or inspector\nFully proficient and ability to mentor others using project management information system\nGood written and verbal communication skills\nWorking knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)\nPreferred:\nEIT\nCMIT\nAbout Freese and Nichols\nAt the heart of our culture is our LEADS values (Learn continuously, Engage as family, Act with integrity, Deliver quality, and Serve always).
